The room was very clean and well furnished, and the hotel grounds were attractive. The staff was friendly enough and spoke English reasonably well. The breakfast was big and good. The hotel is located a bit far from the Kremlin -- probably about a 20 minute walk -- but it's doable. It took about an hour to walk to the bus station from the hotel, but it would be quicker if it weren't snowy. The Monastery of St. Euthymius is right across te street.
all reviews » The hotel is in an excellent location to explore the amazing town of Suzdal. Having booked a junier suite I found the room well apportioned and comfortable. A good selection of restaurants on site with menus including English translation; something you have to normally request and not alsways get in Russia. The whole ennvironment at the hotel is relaxing and the spa facilities are excellent. It was an excellent stay during my trans-Siberian trip! I love this hotel.The hotel is located right in the middle of the main street in Suzdal. Beautiful, hotel complex, helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast, fast internet, hot and cold water dispenser everywhere. Would definitely come back.. The location is very convenient, the staff is friendly and positive, the facilities are good, the design is interesting. I'd stay there in case I'm in Suzdal once again. The best option in the city. Absolutely fantastic. The rooms are located in small blocks with high standard of furnishings inside and outside the room. Very quite place. It looks to be at home. We were sorry to leave the room. Family room for 4 persons were quite spacious and comfortable. Staff was helpful and breakfast was satisfactory. Furntiures and beds are quite cosy. I strongly recommend this hotel. It's a private territory with 8-9 buildings. Inside I felt myself completely safe and relax. They have 25 meter pool and sauna for free. Don't forget swiming shorts and hat. Extremely relaxing and comfortable, very efficient staff, we enjoyed much more privacy than one big hotel. And the restaurants were all excellent with friendly staff. I think it's a best place in Suzdal to have a comfortable and quiet stay after a citytour. Heat in the room was very noisy. The cardio equipment in the gym was in poor condition or out of order and we had to pay 150 rubles to use it. One of the restaurants and the disco bar were closed -- hotel does not seem to be operating at full capacity in March. At the other restaurant, he service was very slow and some items were overpriced compared to other places in town. Breakfasts are all the same, The conditioner in the room was producing cold wind instead of warm. It was rather cold in the room. Not far from Kharchevnya - very good cafe. The swimming pool is nice but the fee is not included. Remember to bring with you the swimming cuff which are mandatory. Swimming pool and sauna are subject to fee. Check-in befor 14:00 is possible but will cost you extra. I arrived at 12:30 and was asked to pay 130 rubles extra. The room was already cleaned and usually hotels do not charge for such a slight difference. It was dissapinting to me. Honestly, I liked everything. It's too much expensive in restaurant!. Breakfast can be of a better variety. Not a deal breaker though. Seems to be a bit overpriced. WiFi access only in lobby. Restaurants close a bit early. Breakfest is very poor and doesn't match to the price... restraunts rather expensive, swimming pool not included. Variety of choice of food. the swimming pool was not open due to repairs. One of the restaurants had no English menu. Rooms and facilities look nice however quality of initial construction or maintenance are basic even in premium price rooms. The beds is not well, only single beds. a little long waiting at the reception desk. swim is not free. Smell of bathroom in family room. No one condition in number. one of our rooms did not have hot water for one of the days we stayed. expensive. Pool (gym, ping-pong...) for extra charge !. Payment for the pool. Breakfast. Rooms, equiped as par soviet union time. Breakfast is very poor. Breakfast buffet is very bad. This hotel would have been great, had we not been woken up at 5am by the hotel's industrial generator next to our block. This kept us awake until the sunrise, at which point we gave up trying to sleep and went to breakfast...which was absolutely freezing, despite us being the first customers to breakfast. You also have to pay extra for the pool. There are many hotels in Suzdal for a similr price...go to one of them instead.
