The location is great, close to the metro station and walking distance from Nevskyi Prospect. The breakfast is very nice and changes every day. The rooms are great with air condition. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. When I was there, one of the receptionist was on holiday. I want to thank the three remaining ones for being friendly and enthusiastic despite working on 24 hours shifts. Very well done. Internet works well and reliably in the hotel and is free. Location, only a few minutes from the metro, via a pedestrian shoppong mall was very convenient. If you want to rest on the separate picturecque island combining developed infrastructure of the comfortable city and living in the cosy apartments like a little castel. You should visit this hotel. You will enjoy yourselves. The staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel is situated in the wider centre of the city, just 15 minuts walk from the Winter Palace and Ermitage Museum. The decoration is exceptional. positively tuned receptionists. The room was not done properly every day. For example, while water for tea is offered, I only go tea bags the first day. To the extent that the room is done, it is done very late in the day. In order to enter the hotel one has to ring the bell and the receptionist has to open the door. I prefer to be a bit more anonymous in hotels and have my comings and goings less controlled. The only drawback is that the hotel is a 30 minute walk from the city centre, or a 15 minute Metro ride. It is still manageable but makes returning to the hotel in the daytime (in between sightseeing) a little cumbersome. one side of the building has rather dark rooms,breakfast could have more variety,slow wifi. There are not dressing gowns and slippers. However, everything was stinking by amateurism and the building from the street looked a bit neglected. There is also no elevator, so I had to bring down my 25kg luggage from the stairs on my own. This I certainly didn´t expect from something describing itself as a 4* hotel. It resembles much more the the little family lodging house. It was too warm in the room (due to central heating?) and we had to turn on the AC, although there was a note asking not to turn it on (??). very poor offer for breakfast, bathroom and some equipment in the room would deserve restoration very complicated way how to get checked-in for my departure flight via reception -I had a feeling I get a big privilege when after 3 requestts (!) the receptionist was willing to do it for me Payment for invitation letter and also for registering my stay at Police - strange way how to increase revenues of the hotel.
