Although some staff can't speek English, they tried to give me a hand as much as they can such as using translator. Breakfast, 150 RUB/person, is quite valued price and pretty tasty, especially omelet! Hotel is located in the centre of city or major attraction spot, so most spot can be reached by foot. Traveller can use small kitchen equipped by microwave, refrige (unfortunately there is no gas stove), which can save a great deal of money for backpckers or budget traveller. Definately come agai.
all reviews » We loved the staff, Julia, the Manager was really kind. She cooked breakfast for us anytime we woke up and she found us a very cheap taxi when we had to go back to the airport. The room was not that big but it was clean. Bathrooms were also cleaned often during the day and the had shampoos, conditioner and hand wash refilled daily! The breakfast has a lot of variety with fresh fruit, juices, cereals, breads... The location was the most valuable point anyway. Its close to every historical place. Everything! We were a school group of 19 so we took up the whole 4th floor and one room on the 3rd too. The communal kitchen area was so useful, the rooms spotless and staff so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing and such good value. They even made sandwiches for our return journey home for free! Location wonderful, right next to St Isaac's Cathedral. Price for what you get is stunning value. Won't stay anywhere else in future. This is a fantastic hotel and we'll all miss the staff very m. This small hotel is located just 50 m far from the St. Isaak Cathedral and is in a walking distance to some of the best tourist attractions (e.g. Hermitage museum, etc.). A fully equipted kitchen is also available to the guests who prefer using it. The hotel staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and ready to help or provide a good advice on where to go and how to reach the place of interest. First, the location is just wonderful, one can hardly imagine to be located closer to the historic center, yet so comfortable and quiet. The room is better than in the pics. Shared bathrooms (we had 2 working WC on the disposal of 6 rooms for about 20 people) were not very clean, probably as they were used by so many guests. The absence of elevator might be an issue if somebody travels with a lot of luggage, as the hotel rooms are allocated on 4 and 5 floor. m-m-m...going up to the fifth floor with the baggage without an elevator? well, you can survive it! and get the feeling of a real old building!. Facilities are a bit small nut this issue is fairly minor. Guests with heart conditions may find it unsuitable as the hotel is located on the fifth floor and there is no elevator. Thin walls... So can be noisy. No mosquito net. No air conditioning nor were there screens on the windows and mosquitoes were bothersome. Walls in room are too thin. It seems like neighbors are in your bed) But it's a common situation at mini-hotels of SPb. No lift, not easy to climb stairs after a whole day travelling. Too much mosquito. No elevator. large cold room. No mosquito net. Everything is great for such price and location. The only one thing is not so good for me - small pillows. share bathroom ( but we knew that there was share bath). But I never choose a hotel like that.. breakfast was really bad..almost nothing to eat.. There were no breakfast. I thought the rooms were on the 4th floor not the fifth. The hotel has sharing bathrooms, 2 showers, no lift and it is located in a 5th floor, no cleaning service, really it is just 2 stars. Very noisy because of thin walls. Staff should not talk at night in the kitchen. the personnel did not speak English and the hotel did not accept credit card. Bathroom.
