From the moment I made the reservation to the time I finally walked out the front door, the staff did everything in their power to make life easy. Their Tourist Visa Support was impeccable and the airport transfers were extremely punctual, excellent service. The hotel itself is excellent value for money. My room was massive and spotless. The location was also perfect, a 2 minute walk to Nevsky Prospekt. If I return to St Petersburg, I will definitely be staying at the 5th Corner Hotel.
all reviews » It took me a lot of time to book a hotel in St. Pete. But the 5th Corner was worth all my time. I enjoyed my staying there very much. Everything was super cool: the staff, the location, the cleanliness, breakfasts. Comfort is very important for me and that's the hotel where you get it to the full. Don't miss a chance to stay there when in St. Pete. This is a very nice hotel, situated conveniently to metro, easy walking distance to Nevsky Prospket, and reasonable access for trips outside the city. Xren is a nice restaurant with great breakfast buffet and there are convenient mini-marts nearby. Staff was very helpful and spoke English well. It was our third stay and we would go back again. the hotel is very clean, staff is very professional, location is very central. although people wrote that there is no elevator, the hotel starts from the first floor and if you stay at that floor you only have to climb one floor. so it was not bad. breakfast was good enough for a business hotel including meat, eggs or cereal. Wonderful breakfast, 10 min walking distance from the main street and 20 min from some interesting touristic spots, very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and fair price. Indeed there is a very nice restaurant on the hotel where you can have a tipical russian dinner. Definitely, I'd come back to this hotel. I was surprised how good was it. I liked everything. The hotel doesnt have elevator but I asked the room on the first floor and it was not a problem. The room was super clean, in the bathroom there were toothbrushes, razors. The tee was free. So many restaurants, 24 hour grocery stores and shoe stores surrounding the hotel. About a 10 minute walk down a main street to Nevsky Prospect. The hotel had its own airport driver. We reserved the comfort room with extra bed and it was just perfect, spacious, clean with comfort king size bed. The Xren Restaurants choice was very limited and the language barrier was quite tough to over come both by menu and table service. It must be said though, I didn't go to St Petersburg to eat here, so don't let this put you off staying in what is without doubt an excellent hotel. There is no elevator but it is such a minor detail. The personnel carried my heavy suitcase up to the 5th floor without any complaint :)))). the hotel itself has a little bit of a smell, i think it is a general problem with the pluming system. but there is no problem with the showers or anything. don't trust the wireless, it was not working half of the time. Nothing. Everything was ok for the price we paid. We were on Level 5 so the roof was angular and i kept hitting my head above bed due to the low roof. Also just a warning there is no lift. It didn't bother me, but older people may not like this. Staff were helpful in carrying our bags up to our room. Breakfast is very poor, there is only 1 type of cheese and if you arrived at 10 most of the times you will find nothing to eat!! No elevator. Be prepared to use stairs :(. There is no lift. No elevator. The bell boy is always coming from some very distant place. The noise comes from outside at night time. The beds are rather uncomfortable. The only problem with this hotel is, they still have shower curtains, which seems so old-fashioned and disturbing, and such a mess after taking a shower. Please invest for some cheap shower cabins. As usual in Russia, there is no elevator. This hotel is the only one we stayed in which charged for visa registration (150r pp) but both minor. Breakfast starts at 8am. Seems too late for business hotel. Had to have a breakfast in the city. There are no elevators. It might be troublesome if you have big and heavy lagguages. Poor ventilation in the room on the top floor. I lived in a non- smoking room, it smelled of smoke from cigarettes. And a little bit cold in the room. Not enough socket in the room. Poor breakfast, no elevator, expensive during the summer period. Soundproofing. The room was too warm and the bathroom was smelling bad... We changed the room, the smell problem was solved, but it was still too warm. The staff could not tell us how to turn off the heater... there is no elevator. Soundproofing of rooms insufficient No Elevator. in the room no smoking - somebody smoking :). Noise. Restaraunt. Very poor internet connection. It took 1 hour to manage to send e-mail.
