Highly recommended hotel in a fantastic location. Very safe, clean and friendly. Located to excellent restaurants and bars and a short 5 minute walk to Red Square.......fantastic!!!. The place is very centrally located. Very near to Kremlin and Red Square and other interesting places. Located on a major street and side streets have very good eating places. Well appointed, and very clean room and bathroom, good size. Little to no street noise. Very good location for Red Square/Kremlin/Bolshoi - Central Moscow generally.

But it locates in a weird spot, on the 6th floor of a very old and not very nice looking building. The staff are friendly, but the single room I booked is very very small although it's clean. I'm not sure it's worth of saving the money. I'd rather pay double for a more decent place. I wouldn't go back there again. Nothing , the hotel consists, only of a few rooms on the upper floors of an old building with a dreadful door a bit scary I can say , will never go back again. PS some rooms do not even have windows !!!!. The toilet kept making funny noise. Entrance is from the back door and sometimes in the night it did not feel very safe. Also the hotel is on the 6th floor and the day we arrived the lift was being repaired! Impossible to take luggage up the floors and luckily someone helped us. Entrance to hotel which is also a backstreet entrance to apartments below and is shabby. Ignore as once you are up to the 6th floor and inside, hotel is great. No breakfast served but easy to get at street cafes 50m away. the hotel stays at the 5th of a very old and dirty building. the hotel's floor is nice, but firt impression of the bulding is not good at all. It's really not easy to find the hotel if you don't know where exactly it is! So please note that it is in the inner yard of the number 4 and be attentive and watch for the sign!. elevator is under construction. Couple minor details. Not a big deal. The "window" in the room was too high, no view of Tverskaya ulitsa. The space between the bed and the desk is barely enough for a person to sit there. Maybe move the desk in room 8 a bit closer to the window?. It was extremely difficult to find the hotel. You have to enter a courtyard and then find your way into the door, to then go up to level 6 and finally get into the hotel. maybe no windows on the top floor not easy to find although when you know it it's very easy!. No window in my room. No bar and breakfast. The hotel must have phone net. Bathroom was a chemical type so noisy when you open the water. Hard to find (door from back-side, not from the main street) Pretty expencive (Moscow center, of course it is) Hotel is just the upper part (7th floor) of one older house. Very hard to find the entrance and no one seems to have heard of the hotel (including taxi drivers) no breakfast, not even a coffee machine very pricey in comparison to South African hotels. The bathroom facilities had a pump system for the waste so it could be a bit noisy at night. Elevator didn't work, so you have to carry your luggage up to the 7th floor. See above.
