What makes hotel cosmos a great choice for a stay in Moscow is a combination of three things. Firstly the location is great for travelling to the centre because the metro is only 5 mins from the hotel. Secondly, whilst the rooms are basic, the hotel has many facilities. Many of the multiple restaurants are open 24/7, there is a gym and many souvenir shops within the hotel. Thirdly, Cosmos is quite cheap. Rooms are of a decent size and although a bit old fashioned now are still perfectly functio.

The room facilities were a bit tired, but for me it was not an issue. The bed was OK, it was not cold in the room and hot water was available at all times. The room rate was quite reasonable with breakfast included, but it was a special offer via letsbookhotel.com. Good view from the room window. Breakfast was basic, but there always was a choice of f. The room is not bad, no matter that it looks like from ussr still, but it's clean and basic. It's a pity they don't provide tea and coffee in the room and say "we don't offer!", but anyway, the location is good, so I will stay here again. The location near to vdnkh metro station . it is the front of a famous park . the breakfast is very good . the security stuff are very good . you can take a free shuttle bus ( yellow color ) at the front of it and go to vavilon mall . Design of reception area reminded me of Domodedovo airport, it looks good. Elevators work well. Room was clean, with good bathroom facilities, but my friend's bed wasn't very comfortable. I liked buffet breakfast. Nice location, big size of the hotel, good size of the room, good and friendly stuff. It is a really good place to stay in Moscow. Not far from downtown. Almost heart of the Moscow City!. The location of the hotel is very close to the metro station The design and the availability of different facilities (banks, western union, souvenirs shops...). Really, the location is excellent, metro, supermarket are in 5 minutes walk. wonderful view from 23 floor. good econom variant price/quality. The hotel is just 2 minutes walk from the Metro station, so my trip to the downtown in the morning took no more than 25 minutes. Also you can park your car on the streets anywhere outside of the hotel, because hotel parking is expensive. There's a plenty of free parking space, unlike in the city center. The location is very close to a Metro station & one can be in Red Square, the Bolshoi, the Pushkin Museum in about a half hour, plus Prospekt Mira has attractions of its own. The staff is competent and overall the Cosmos offers good value for the money, although it is still a little too high. the view of our room. 19th floor. they clean the room everyday. and some days twice:) they have lots of cafes and rest.s in lobby but, there is not much outside the hotel. close to the kosmonatiki park. quiet rooms, comfortable bed, clean, swimming pool + sauna, drinking water availability, fast elevators, a lot of bars and restaurants inside, very close to metro station, sightseeings around. Checking in is a slow process as there were not enough staff on hand to deal with the people waiting. Everything else was good. No free Wi-Fi in the room. The lighting was not sufficient. It is not a big issue, but real coffee and real orange juice at breakfast buffet would help. Restaurants at the hotel are a bit overpriced for what they offer, especially the Chinese place. There are no good places to eat around the hotel, it takes a metro ride to find a good price-quality ratio restaurant (however it's not the hotel's fault, they do offer quite a few choices instead). The staff at reception is awful...they made check in and check out at lest 30 minutes, everybody is "busy, wait!. And also what is the problem to take us dollars? They ask just for rubles (russian currency). In short - try to contact with reception as less as you can, they don't really want to deal with you. The wifi is very very poor inside rooms . the stuff can not speak english instead of in reception . the swimming area is expensive ( 700 rub/ visit ) they must decrease the cost and must be / day not / visit . It was difficult to charge our mobiles with only one socket available in the room. A little old furniture, no tooth paste, no hair conditioner. The waterpool and breakfast were not included in the price so you have to add 50% for each person to get access to the swimming pool and the breakfast. Unfriendly and unhelpful chambermaids. There is no kettle in d room... Desk staff refused a parcel I had sent for business with my name on the parcel without checking caused business meeting problem. Unfriendly stuff, you get charge ridiculous amounts of money to use hotel's facilities, wifi strength was poor. Furniture aren't fresh. But for us it was not important. Pillows were terrible. security guards by elevators and food in restaurant on the 25th floor. A bit too busy for my tastes. The lobby was always crowded with tour groups. There are half a dozen restaurants and a performance venue. Seemed much like a Las Vegas style tourist trap. price on weekdays go up +50%, renewed rooms but old hotel, not so bad for 3 stars in compare with other moscow hotels but price is overvalued for 3 stars $200 !!!. bad Internet connection. Too much attantion from hotel security staff is a bit annoying. Wireless connection was frequently out of order. Breakfast room too crowded. there were no problems. light should be more. All other services in the hotel were very expensive, like food etc. I'm asked for one bed for two persons, but got two different beds!. Security very unfriendly. Nothing at all,. nothing. don't like a bad soap and shampoo. It was rather noisy in the room because the windows were on a front side close to the main street. Free WI-FI located just in lobby. Parking is unreasonably expensive, considering location of the hotel (almost 1/4 of our room price a day), and that it's just an open space on the hotel territory. Wi-Fi is free only in the lobby, and you have to buy a card to have it in the room (it's was almost 1/3 of the room price for 24 hours). Hotel staff was not very well mannered, although friendly. I didn't like that there were no available computers for Internet & e-mail access - I don't have a laptop or smartphone. There were no facilities for arranging tours to the Golden Ring sites of Vladimir and Suzdal and no one gave me suggestions. some staff is very rude. a lot of people. Very bog so crowded a bit. 1.Poor attitude from reception 2.A LOT of prostitutes in the lobby and bar 3.Ordered non-smoking room but smoking room was provided. It was changed but for additional $40. 4.Control by the guard near elevators (I saw it first time!). First of all, its to control entrance of prostitutes with clients. Bed wasn't too comfortable Reserved a double bed - as we are 2 women they gave us a twin room and no non-smoking doubles available. They weren't gay-unfriendly just simply had no clue what to do. No free wi-fi in the room and free wifi in the lobby was useless (up to 20 minutes to open a page). Slow check in, the mildew in bathroom. I did not like the old furniture I did not like the old bath room with a rust. I did not like the old carpet. I did not like the absence of cooler or kettle. Expensive money transfer in hotel. Not very comfortable matress. Postsoc standard of the rooms. But how much you pay how much you can demand. Phenomenally high additional charges for Gym and pool usage. Too crowded with 30 minutes waiting for check in. Internet access very bad in the room. Little bit better in the lobby. No business center and no way to print a single paper...... the rooms was too old and not clean enough , the security staff didn't do polite with guests.
