Freya House is situated in the picturesque mountain resort of Busteni, only 1 km from the Kalinderu ski track and the cable car which reaches the top of Bucegi Mountains. The refined yet cosy Freya House has a fireplace next to the lobby and all the rooms are comfortably furnished. Romanian as well as international dishes are served at the restaurant, which seats up to 40 people in a pleasant ambience accompanied by carefully chosen background music. At the bar Nespresso coffee, Demmer's tea and a wide selection of drinks are served. Freya House features a well-appointed conference room for 40 people, a mini spa centre with hot tubs and a sauna available at a surcharge, as well as relaxing terraces.

The hotel was great and the fact that we were able to pay $10 more to get the mountain view room which offered breathtaking views was very wonderful. The restaurant offerings and outdoors sitting areas make it so that you can get a view of the Bucegi mountains without leaving the property. It is in the proximity of the cable car to the top of the mountains, though it is approx a 1.4 miles (2.2km) walk from the hotel entrance to the cable car station, which includes an uphill trek.
