The setting was great. Excellent start for going further into the mountains. Friendly staff. We also appreciated the lift in the hostel van(but bumpy!) from the bus station and the lift back down again when we left(unsure if this is only available if you stay three or more days). We absolutely loved staying right in the mountains. We were close to two trail lines which led us on two incredible hikes. Breakfast is included and food is available at all times.

This was the best of the 3 mountain hotels/shelters we stayed in during our walking holiday. Good food and nice atmosphere in the bar that stayed open until late. well you have to hike to it so it's set in a beautiful location. there are facilities like hair dryer,kettle. Excellent location away from everything. If you are looking for a quiet away from it all place this is it. Location Value for money Atmosphere Can't wait to return (this corrects my previous review). Simple clean rooms in a perfect location. Many hiking trails nearby. location was great, rooms were basic but adequate. Staff friendly. Location for hiking trip was perfect. I would go back again. The walk up from Kuznice is very hard work at the end of a long day's sightseeing or walking!. It is a serious 30 minute hike from the main road - not to be done with large luggage. But if you contact the hotel in advance you can get a bus to take you up. Also, some of the other lodges are closer to more hiking trails, if that's what you're looking for. Hiking in these mountains is not for the faint of heart. Come prepared if you want to see some killer views. Remote, so bring what you need. Of course one needs to plan how to hike in from the nearest road, cobbled path is pitch dark at night. We had hoped to have a sauna when we arrived but they said they needed 2 hours to heat it up and that it was too late in the day. Annoying. Restaurant closed early, when we wanted to order desert at 19.45 we were told that the kitchen was closed. could do with renovation.you have to ask for the kettle and hairdryer. 30 minute walk up a rock/cobbled road.Not easy for those who are not used to this but for me part of the experience. Never have I stayed in accommodation when the staff start vacuuming outside your room at 7.30am. This happened both mornings and was very irritating, especially since we wanted to rest after our hikes. The hotel needs to put a stop to this as it is completely unnecessary and inconsiderate. We also ordered a set menu for breakfast and the coffee and yoghurt never arrived. Bad attention to detail. food was very basic and the restaurant closes at 8pm.

Please note that the direct car access to the hotel is not available. Cars need to be parked on a guarded parking and the local transport needs to be taken to Kuźnice. From Kuźnice guests can take a walk - 30 minutes approximately - sleigh in winter - to the hotel. Shuttle service can be arranged in advance.
