Excellent choice: the staff, Monika and Ola at the reception are polite, helpful, friendly and kind. Monika is a great source of knowledge and her English is very good. The location of Hostel 22 could not be better: it takes only three minutes to walk to the waterfront, only five minutes to the beautiful Old Town and twelve minutes to the main railway station where from the bus # 210 takes you to the airport for 70 cents. The hostel is located in a very calm and safe neighborhood close to the H.
all reviews » Location of Hostel 22 is very good. It is close (5-minute distance on foot) from the old town, and also close from the main railway station (10 minutes on foot). It is located in a very calm place. Room is clean, comfortable, and the staffs are very kind and friendly. Reception is open from 08:00 to 20:00 only, but the security was waiting for me with my keys when I arrived very late at night (almost midnight). Free wifi is available. Bakery, 24 hours open convenient store, and several Kebab s. Excellent customer service, clean, quiet, close to the center of the old city, comfortable room with shower. The owner and daughter were very friendly and helpful. If I stay in Gdansk again, I'll definitely stay at the hostel22. Thank you!. Fantastic location - 5 min walk to the heart of the Old Town. The big room Breakfast No noise from outside. modern furniture a lot of space central. Cleanliness, location and price. You should bring your ow n soap because there is no soap at the bathroom. Iron is available, but without ironing pad. The iron is partly broken and thus a liitle bit dangerous to use. I don't know if there is another iron which doesn't have such problem. no refrigerator, no breakfast. - building work going on which will be great when the project is finished as is quite loud But nothing at all about the Hostel itself. bad soundproof, early check out time - 10 am. Not a proper hostel set up yet. No city maps, no laundry, kitchen, common room. Two cups were supplied but no coffee/tea making facilities .One chair in double bedroom and not enough towels, toilet paper and shower and no washing sundries supplied for the price. This is next to a building site. After a long journey awoke to the sound of cement mixer and Pavarotti in full flight at 8am. In a few mths when the building site is complete this hostel/apts ??? will be a gem. bed could be more comfortable. Close construction, it was very cold in the room (end of september). near the location night club Bunker - at night it was very noisy. A bit noisy (nearby construction & nightclub). thin walls. Pay only cash! No visa, mastercard. No soap/shampoo, hairdryer and no daily cleaning as "it is just a hostel", though it charges like a real hotel. Taxi drivers need explanation how to drive to its door. And now you can be surprised by construction workers looking into your window from 10 meters away building opposite to the hotel. They don't accept cards either by now. There was no hot water !!! at all during.We was not notified about this before trip!!!Girl on receiption gave us (thank her personal) tea spot,so we could wash our son (5 months) a litlle bit ,but this was very unpleasant. the shower was faulty, no hairdryer, not even any handsoap. at 6 am at the lawn by the hotel there were a lot of dog walkers, thus, a lot of noise. Only 1 chair No rack for luggage Only 2 towels for 2 nights They did not clean the room on the second day Walls are thin as paper. walls were partly unpainted no breakfast very "empty" room hostel seemed unfinished (was newly constructed). There is no parking, only street parking which is difficult if you don't get a space directly outside the hostel. Laundry facilities were advertised but not available. No hairdryer/iron or decent pillows.
