Well we arrived late at about 10.20 to the Amber Apartments as we had a late flight . We was given instructions on what to do arriving which we fallowed and was meat by a very nice gentleman who show us round the Amber Apartments which we had book he spent some time showing you making sour we knew were everything was and how it worked before saying good night. Was even told to make our self at home before payment and he call the next day for payment given a choice of cash or card . This .
all reviews » This familiy owned apartment(s) in the Old town is without doubt the best we have stayed at in Poland. Only five minutes walk from the railroad station, or the restaurants of the Old Town, the location is superb. We did not experience any disturbing street noice at all and the apartment (Rose) had everything you need when it comes to commodities. The only thing I missed was a few english speaking tv channels like cnn/bbc, but for us that was not so important. The wifi connection worked very wel. Went with my mother to Gdansk for a weekend break. Was an excellent stay in an excellent apartment, from the cleanliness to the location to the facilities. Attention to detail is 5*. Lovely touches which I was impressed with included- bottles of water in the fridge, fully stocked tea/coffee, array of towels, great tourist guide in the room, etc. Further Tomasz the owner of the apartments is extremely hospitable- provided some great tips and goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is comforta. Excellent location just beside the Old Town of Gdansk which is an area that needs to be explored. The excellent self catering facilities meant we had the opportunity to go out for some fine dining as well as prepare some meals for ourselves to keep things cheap. Incredibly helpful staff mad it all the more enjoyable.Ideal for a couple. Highly recommended!. Everything was great. Family member undertaking serious building reconstruction of the upstairs appartment and basically ignored requests to stop and this was Saturday evening!!! Not impressed at all. Waited 20' to get the keys. On the next day, appointment to pay the room was at 8 am and I waited until 8.45 am. We don't understand if there is something wrong with the hot water for shower. Temperature is unstable. no lift, but owner carried heavy suitcases up stairs to room. I did not like how you could not spend Scottish money nor could you change it in the cantor.
