Sunrise Guest Hotel was a delight- the people at the front desk were incredibly helpful and friendly. I was given the breakfast buffet even though I booked the cheapest category. It was great- and the view from the restaurant was terrific. Also it is the only hotel in Puerto Princesa with the ability to place international calls, which is why I switched from the Hotel Centro. The Wifi was excellent, while at Hotel Centro there was virtually no wifi, the tv had horrible reception, also the room .

Analyn was very helpful in finding accommodation in El Nido. Overall very nice hotel. Good for foreigners. I love the style of the room and the friendliness of the staff. Made a great job of the laundry. Cleaning the rooms was very good. I would recommend. Great mattress nice and firm not too hard. location in the centre of Puerto Princessa, overlooking sea and bay. close to centre and activities. great, spacious room; free airport transfer; easily the best hotel stuff we've had during our trip. Hotel is basically top floor of a 5 floor shopping mall. Location is only so-so. Baywalk happens to be right behind hotel, but requires a bit of a walk-around to get-to. Baywalk itself looks more special on Google Maps than it does in person (but is better than nothing!). expensive transfers to the sights, no taxi, only a few vans available but thats a general problem...transport problem is for every hotel in the city or on the island... No swimming pool. There's no swimming pool, and gym is very poor. The hotel is a bit unpersonal (like top of a mall). Breakfast buffet a bit limited and the coffee was terrible. Instant coffee was the only option! A lot of people appreciate good coffee now days. Bad location Hard bed. No wifi reaches my room. Bad sound quality on the tv. Check in on 4th floor was a bit confusing. They said they have internet in all the rooms, they do not have internet anyware in the rooms or lobby. We call this deceptive advertizing. Rest of the breakfast was a little disappointing, weird fake orange juice. Room had a window that looked onto an outside balcony/corridor that had various bits of stuff piled up and people were often wandering past leaving you to wonder about security and privacy. Beds were the hardest most uncomfortable we have ever slept on! Not sure if it was just our room but mattress consisted of small pillow top then a wooden board underneath :( Wifi?. Inflexible policy on late checkout. I was prepared to pay 50% of the booked rate for checkout at 5:00 pm but the hotel wanted to charge 50% of the rack rate which was 3 times the rate I actually paid. Breakfast was poor. The surroundings look unsafe during the night.
