We really enjoyed the kitchen and ability to cook for ourselves - as we'd saved a lot of money. Also situation is just perfect - about 5 minutes of walking to the city center!.
We really enjoyed the situation of the hotel - it is really very close to the city center and bus stations. Also staff provides all the rooms with sleeping sheets and towels.

Its the best Hostel Pensionat in osl, They always fine management reception and the ' all of Sentrun Pensjonat its a very fine Hostel, I highly recommend.
In a very convenient place, 5 min walk to central train station and shopping malls, in the old town, all main city attractions nearby.
The showers were clean, high powered and large. The staff were friendly, and the location is fantastic.
Beds were the best very comfy.

The location is perfcet just within 10 mins. walk from central station. There was no lift so if you are carrying heavy luggage there will be a big trouble. The room was a bit dark & very noisy outside at night. The share kitchen was a bit dirty, but the share washroom was clean enough.
Although the Sentrum is excellent value for money when compared to Norway's prices it is not for the faint hearted.
The best with the hotel is price, as well as security for the personal items (lockers in the rooms).

It was very noisy at night, very hard to fall asleep, probably some night club in the neighborhood, and also the traffic noise.
The ovens and some cookers were broken, and the rooms were very cramped.
All the cigerate smell & smoke.

It was a very old building so im not sure it would be good for people with asthma, i mean it wasnt dirty or anything but it was a older building!.

As with all backpacker style hostels you gamble with those you share with. However, at times is was hard to determine who was a paying guest and who was a 'social tenant'.
There is almost no equipment in the kitchen.
Beds were clean, but many other things could use a good cleaning. My room was on level 4, and the only four showers of the place were on level 2. Also only few toilets, not all with wash basin. The TV in my room did not show any channels, but was only connected to a DVD-player.

I was charged twice for the room - once by credit card and then by cash. As of today, the hostel responded to my complaint (after 2nd attempt), but did not reverse the charge after 4 business days, so we still keep communicating.
Never had this issue before with any other hotel/hostel, so I would recommend anyone who books in advance to check your charges carefully and promptly.

No one present in reception when I arrived 10:00. I eventually gave up waiting and checked in later in the day.
It wasn't clean in toilets and in bathrooms. Very old bedrooms, no washbasin in the rooms, poor value for money.
Unwelcoming atmosphere and dingy room. This place badly needs a makeover. One very annoying aspect was having to go down two floors for a shower. The owners of this hostel don't appear to care about the people that pay to stay there. It's okay though for a night or two.
The Sentrum Pensjonat & Hostel was a little bit expensive for a hostel and it was too close to a night club which was open to gone 3 am so kept me awake all night.
Sketchy neighborhood. Not recommended for single female travelers, especially in the evening as we were harassed a few times walking back to the hostel.
The bed sheets were very dirty (huge stain on them) as was the towel.
Loud music from the Lounge until 2am.

Facilities were very old. Taps at several common toilet facilities were not serviceable. Furthermore, there were shower facilities only on the second storey, causing way too much inconvenience for us who were staying on the fourth storey.
Don't go if you can afford a bit better place.

the room was dirty, there was a kitchen in front of the room that was dirty too, there was smell inside of the room too. in fact I leave the hostel one day before because of that situation.
the hostel was very unclean, the rooms were dirty and I did not want to touch the bed/sheets. There was a toilet on our floor with no sink to wash your hands afterwards. Disgusting.

It was old, dirty and had quite a lot of workers; this is not a backpackers hostel, more of a migrant workers hostel.
