Location is great, walking distance to centre city, we were on the 22nd floor and had a view over the city and water. Room was serviced daily, although it was small it had everything we needed, including a microwave oven. When booking, I had requested having a room near family that had booked separately, and I had a phone call to confirm that was no problem, and we did end up a few doors away from each other, very happy with that. all reviews » Good location, everything functioned well, clean, helpful no-frills front desk. We did not use restaurant facilities. Anyone considering booking should note that taxis drop off and pick up in Gilmer Tce, which is level with 7th floor reception, walk along well lit underground carpark. Take lift to ground level, then walk down Plimmer Steps to get to Lambton Quay. Lift does not go right down to street level. Very, very convenient for shopping and sightseeing. All the staff, without exception, were friendly and interested and most of all helpful. I was a single traveller from the uk and tl staff helped me with transport etc. Useful to have room service and breakfast cafe. Comfortable room with en suite shower and everything I could want. Thanks. We traveled to Wellington for the AFL game to St.Kilda play. We chose your hotel as it suited us best price wise and accommodation wise too. Finding the hotel initially would have been difficult I think had we not caught a shuttle bus from the airport directly to the hotel. Old half bottle of wine from previous occupant left in fridge. Price of snacks is excessively high, seems to be price gouging, $6.- for a $1.30 bag of crisps??????? We went for a walk and bought our own. Expensive wifi. $100 preauthorisation ( ?) Is having credit card details not enough? Soap scum on the tiles of the shower. Travel lodge should be advertised that it is in the Plimmer Towers building,the door leading into travel lodge needs a sign saying Receiption this way.A Restaurant menu in room be good,breakfast bread selection poor. Some noise from adjoining rooms but not excessive but would be a problem if the neighbours were noisy. The wifi is very expensive, but can access a free cbd wifi service by sitting out in the street on a park bench; clearly I am not proud. Check in time being 2.00pm when arriving just after 10.00am. No easy chairs. bathroom had a sewer smell to it, and tiles seemed a bit dirty. seems the $94 we paid for our room possibly seemed a bit steep. not a bad place though. The drains in both of the rooms booked, smelled terrible when water was run. The jug in our room could only be filled under the shower as it did not fit under the tap. the shower glass door needs extended as the water went on to the floor outside the shower cabinet. The wifi could have been free for paying guests. Not obvious as to where the elevators were located at the back of the building to go down to the main street especially if carrying suitcases. We whet happy people no complaints. I didn't like how I had to hand over a bond at check in, because I didn't know I had to do that when I booked my room. But I got my bond back at check out. so it was okay. Very expensive WiFi.small interior room. There was no laundry room for guest's use. Nothing. Nothing. When booking I requested a room with a bath. This request was apparently ignored. The air-conditioning had no control unit in the rooms. I wasnt told about an extra $100 that they were going to take out as a bond incase things got broken or something! If I had known this I probably wouldnt have stayed there. We had room with sofa bed - which evidently was very uncomfortable. $25 per day parking. The 5am wake up from building going on in the street below!. Parking. Inadequate number of dedicated hotel slots. They put our car two levels up into the Tournament Parking area. Just 5 minutes after parking I came back to find a window smashed and items taken from the car. They need video cameras there as bad guys are roaming their parking area. After the first night we left a cup that I had used for coffee and when I returned in the afternoon the room was made up but the dirty cup was still on the bedside table.
