We stayed only 2 nights in Waldorf Stadium apartments hotel in Auckland city while attending the Cliff concert in Vector area which is only 250 m from the Waldorf Stadium. What a great Auckland location. Only 450 m from the railway station that we used to get into Auckland City, 600 m from Queen Street and 400 m from the water front area. all reviews » After a total of 38 hours of travel with 3 minors we arrived at the Waldorf Stadium in Auckland at 8 am wiped and jetlagged. I believe we arrived before our appartment was available but no one noticed that, and we got access to our room. Traditional hotels can be hell when you travel as a family of 5 and wan't to stay in the same room. The appartment at Waldorf solved that problem. We found the place reasonably spacy, very comfortable and ideal for us. And not to forget very reasonably priced. I. Modern, very clean and very comfortable apartment hotel. We received an upgrade to larger 2 bedroom apartment. Great location for a one night stay in Aukland. Reception staff were friendly, professional and helpful. We received a great recommendation for an Italian restuarant. Booking for a taxi at 6.30am the next morning was easy and all went smoothly for getting to the airport on time. Comfy beds and couches. Wished we could have stayed another night! A great way to wind up our wonderf. The staff were accommodating, they were quick to help and a pleasure to stay at Waldorf Stadium Apartments Hotel. It was also a pleasure to spend my first time experience in Auckland city. The room was beyond our expectations, we couldn't be more happy. It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We had a room upgrade as the cancellation for an earlier booking had not come through. Very clean rooms and the whole Hotel has a nice deodirised smell! When we arrived there was somebody else's sock laying behind the door on the floor in one of the bedrooms, but in all fairness the carpet was dark and so was the sock - an easy mistake. This is not a complaint as such but the bed was a bit firm for me!! My husband spends half his life on the floor at home so he thought it was great!. Only 1 mirror in the 2bdrm family unit!!plz put in more mirrors in bedroom{s}. Poor lighting in bathroom. Hard to apply makeup..too dark. Horrible instant coffee sachets {Special Blend..YUK!!}. Even Nescafe would be 1000xbetter. I know, trivial,but small things I remember..Will take own coffee next stay! Not having stairs to use when 2 lifts were busy. Long wait for the lifts. car parking was not suitable for accessing, and when the car-parks are full outside the front of hotel, it is annoying going around the block, until a space was available, as I needed to unload a baby and gear. Access to front door - I am on crutches and found the lack of wheelchair access to front of hotel from vehicles - a bit difficult. The swimming pool was located in another building. The location at reception for all information was not shown to us on arrival of any site seeing places. Would have been nice to referred to that section so we were able to locate markets etc and other local attractions. Breakfast was a tad bit over priced. no complaints at this time - everything appeared fine and we enjoyed our stay. The couch and chair were not comfortable for either of us (but they looked very stylish). We had no complaints..just perfect!!. The apartment overlooked a very noisy road which took a bit of getting used to. Nothing stood out as a "not like". No milo/hot chocolate sachets for the kids. No Sky kids channel. No extra blanket or two. Concidering the high price of the breakfast we paid for, I expected many more hot food options, i.e-hash browns, bacon, spaghetti especially since I had two young children who ended up only having toast that was not worth the price I paid. I think that the apartment could use another lamp or two and perhaps a comfortable chair. bedroom very noisy as faced onto Beach Rd with trucks using at 6am. Didn't service daily even though stayed there 4 nights, had to request clean towels. Can hear the night traffic. Kept us awake. the main bedroom wasn't able to be in darkness, light from outside was still really strong. room was incredibly not. The shower room/ laundry room could have been planned better but that is being picky. Parking is a little tricky and expensive. The second bedroom was very cramped, no natural light and a glass door view into the lounge. There were no bedside tables or reading lamps in the 2nd bedroom, which was annoying. The room was not at all like the photo that was displayed when pre-booking. That was quite disappointing. The bathroom was very tiny - no where to realistically lay out toiletries & makeup. Not enough parking out front to load & unload bags. The street was too busy. Perhaps you can take out all the extra gardens & lawn & make off street parking for unloading & loading baggage!. - Staff very disrespectful (not all). Whilst it is great to have a breakfast option, it would also be nice to have a dinner room service as a minimum offering. Nothing it was Perfect. The carpet in the apartment wasn't fully vacuumed. My brother had dropped something which went under the sofa and there was a lot of dirt under it like the cleaners just vacuumed around the seats. that the rollaway we said we did not want stayed in the room the whole time. Nothing.
