clean hotel with friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Convenient to beach, restaurants, shops, metro.Location, breakfest, owners cats. Location was central. Position was good and it was reasonably priced Had 2 lovely dogs and cats on premises. Annoying teenage girl blasting music at night that was right above our room. I had to knock several times to get her to quiet the music down. She did not seem to care. There was no other staff around to assist with the matter. I think it was probably the owner's daughter in charge for the night. It was so annoying.all reviews »
The manager called me at 12 oclock in the night to make me come down and pay the bill. Price was not what bookink reservation was. On arrival there was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the shower was broken. This was reported three times but the shower was still out of use when we left the hotel 4 days later. We were not allowed a reasonble reduction of the bill due to the lack of this facility. The hotel publicity advertises "on site car parking". There is no on site parking. There is free parking in the residential streets around the hotel if you are lucky. We had to park a 10 minute walk away from the hotel.In a lifetime of international travel this is the first time I have ever written a report on a Hotel. I cannot recommend Hotel Amare. Basically as an international traveller I needed communications - in a week despite repeated requests I was never given a working phone in my room and broadband also failed to work at all. Also the room was dirty and unmade on arrival. Choose another hotel!. Room was very small and smelt musty when we arrived, light did not work took over 24hrs to replace a light bulb. Phone never worked during whole 4 day stay. The breakfast was adequate but the same everyday and they ran out of english tea on the 1st morning . Wasnt very welcoming or particularly friendly. Decor throughout was very tired and needs upgrading, there was no mirror in bedroom.
