Relaxing , very well equiped rooms (all electronic gadgets available. Unusual funky design, staff were very nice and helpful. confort. styling. Design, size of rooms, breakfast, bicycle hire. Very nice hotel, good breakfast. Very special, nice rooms. Nice decor and room. the room was an enormous studio with the latest hi-tech gadgets, such as Ipods, projection screen tv and electronically controlled drapes. beamer - nice to watch a movie. Decoration, Ambience. Nicely designed hotel, in which you unfortunately could not sleep, as this is no air inside the room. good bed. Organization could be better. The towels in our room were dirty when we arrived, and the room telephone was missing. Staff in cafe forgot part of our order, even when we asked repeatedly.The called me very polite that there will be a meeting the first night till 12 PM, but there wouldn't be any loud music. Actually there was loud music and it was till 1 AM. Isolation was a little thin, you could hear the people walk and talk in the corridor as if they were in the room:-). lots of trouble getting internet access, not acceptable in a "hi-tech" hotel. Breakfast was poor. Despite these comments... The walls are very thin and there was construction on the roof from 7a to 7p that was deafening. The hotel neither warned us or offered us an apology for it.. The projection tv was impossible to figure out...instructions useless.not in walking distance from central station. The rooms are "cold" and not charming. you had to go into your bed through stairs and not everyone is able to do that.shower pours water on the floor, studios have neat gadgets, but don't really fit together (no desk light, austere, no wardrobe, water on the floor after a shower...).

STROOM is the passion that we have to share a unique experience with other people.
Our hotel offers 18 individually decorated studios. The video studios offer a bathroom floor with a large bath and a shower for two persons. From the bath, there is a great view to the starry sky through the glass roof.
On the upper level, you will find a "Coco-Mat" bed, consisting of 4 layers of natural materials, and the lounge. There is a digital video projector for movies and TV, supported by a Bose surround system.
It's an exceptional experience to stay in our hotel, where you will find excitement, surprises and inspiration.
Important information to guests
Parking is available in the parking lot Schiecentrale, situated next to STROOM. Guest can get a discountcard at the reception.
Please note that payment by cash is possible, however other deposit conditions are applicable.

We offer a lovely rooftop terrace. It is a special place, with a nice view over the "Euromast" and the city. Come and visit this special spot, where you can have a nice drink or an unforgettable banquet.

Travelling information
Coming from Utrecht:
- take the motorway A12 in the direction of Den Haag (The Hague)
- then take the motorway A20 in the direction of Rotterdam/Hoek van Holland.
- take exit nr. 12 "Rotterdam West, Spaanse Polder".
- at the bottom, you turn to the right at the traffic lights, towards "Delfshaven-centrum".
- at the third set of traffic lights, you cross the roundabout (called "Marconiplein") and you turn to the left just before the 3 tall office buildings, in the direction of "Delfshaven-centrum". You will now enter the "Vierhavenstraat".
- follow this street (for approximately 2km). The street will change into the "Westzeedijk", which you should follow up to the second set of traffic lights.
- turn to the right
- at the T-junction, you turn to the right again
- STROOM is right in front of you now, in the tall building.
Public transport:
Take the train to Rotterdam Central Station and take tram line 8 in the direction of "Spangen". Get off at the stop called "De Jonghweg" and cross the street diagonally.
