It was far enough away from the center of Haarlem for privacy but close enough to walk to. I liked the breakfast bonus of being included in the hotel rate. Their breakfast is 20 Euros extra and being included made the stay a real value. Our stay was very pleasant. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. Beverages were a nice touch. Nuts and candies also. The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Anika at the reception desk.

So people were remarking how they were disappointed not being able to write e-mails- me included. I reported this to the desk and the woman attending at night said she has been telling management. Nothing.... Soft bed. breakfast chaos. Our floor was obviously being redone and was quite unsightly-would have appreciated a bit of warning and possibly an apology. No discount for parking your car. Beds had springs near the surface which I was aware of.Some of the beds need to be replaced, are quite old and wirey. Internet should be free... and the computers in the business area are old and slow. Little hard to find.Food and drink at the breakfast buffet seemed to run out and was not replenished so you had to make do with what was left. We ordered room service one morning and it did not arrive but had managed to be charged to our room. Smell of smoke in most places. price for value and the decor is very outdated.Requested ie: twin bedded and smoking rooms only notified unavailable when checking in.

Please note that group policies will apply when booking 5 or more rooms Breakfast is not included for extra beds. Right underneath Carlton Square there is a spacious public parking space Houtplein. You can purchase a parking ticket in the parking garage, which offers direct access to the hotel. The cost for parking is EUR 1.60 per 41 minutes everyday between 08:00 and 19:00 hours, and on Thursday between 08:00 and 21:00. The total cost for 24 hours is around EUR 28.50 or you can purchase a week ticket for EUR 58.34. Free public parking is available at a 10-minute walking distance at the following addresses: Meester Lottelaan Koningin Wilhelminalaan De Dreef (from the Paviljoen) Free public parking is also available right next to the hotel every Saturday from 23:00 hours and the entire Sunday.

From Utrecht:
Take motorway A2 to Amsterdam, exit at A9 to Haarlem. From Hoofddorp business district: Take motorway A4 to Amsterdam/Schiphol Airport. After the tunnel take A9 to Haarlem.

Public Transport:
From Haarlem Central Station you can take bus 50, 51, 90, 140, 175 and 176, stop at Tempeliersstraat. You will find the hotel behind the ABN-AMRO bank.
