Lovely modern hotel close to the centre of Eindhoven and 10 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel was central and the description was accurate i.e. location and amenieties. Staff, room, calm, breakfast ..... +++++++++++++++. location was excellent, room was excellent, staff. ideal location lovely hotel friendly staff. The shopping and restaurants are superb.

On Sat. night the hotel entrance was closed, keeping non-hotel guests away.Lobby is nice (4 star), nice bar, small pool but nice enough, very nice elaborate breakfast for Dutch standards. there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room. No bath-gloves. breakfast was nothing special, i felt it was a bit expensive for wat it was. Only one small bar of soap and not enough lights in the room. Lack of air in the room at night; the windows were screwed down so they could not be opened.Swimming pool is too small and the gym. Lifts. Twin room only. Would have liked an option for double room - however this was extra!. The cost of local telephone calls was far too high!. Also no power point in the bathroom for using an electric razor - why not?. Well, none of the saunas worked, and there was no sign of what to do with it. the windows didn't open and some of the rooms are a bit outdated.Bottles of mineral water and ice bucket were dusty, not cleaned for awhile. We had a sign do not disturb outside the door on Saturday middayand still the cleaners banged on the door until we opened. I know from past stays that some of the rooms are very small. breakfast room is too small for the size of the hotel. needed to discuss before getting connecting rooms as ordered. A deposit for the cost of the room was put on the credit card I used toreserve. When it came time to pay I would have preferred that thedeposit on the credit card be canceled, and that I be allowed to pay thewhole bill in cash. The hotel seemed unable to facilitate this rathersimple and straightforward request. problem with the internet, Swisscom. no free Internet in lounge and the pool was out of order. I thought the overnight parking charge at €12.50 was on the expensive side.the heater was very noisy. Late check-out (2hrs) incurs a 25 euro fee. Yes, was very unhappy with the fact that tje facilities offered were not provided, such as pool and sauna's. When ia asked hoptel staff, 1 girl was very rude and proceded to print 4 pages and point out that in small print at the bottom of the 4th page 2 lines saying it was being refurbished!! thats fine but the info should have been clearly stated on your website!! at the top of the page were it clearly state's the facilities avavilable!!. I think removing of the coffee making apparatus from the bedrooms was cheap. There really isn't a lot of effort in maintaining these. Paying full rate for an outside 0800 line (phone card) is greedy. A one time expense would be acceptable, not paying per minute for a 0800 number!. smell in corridor. Wanted to charge for late check out. Being charged for city tax.The cups had not been cleaned, however, the room itself was spottless. On arrival the beds were pushed together, and it took until late the next day to arrange additional bedding for 2 beds ... also breakfast not up to the usual standard. The shower over the bath was small and the screen was ineffective. I am small and cannot imagine how large people would cope. They double booked one of our rooms with the result being they did not have availability the first night on our arrival. One of my party had to stay in another hotel which was very inconvienient.In the room you are " convicted" to the airconditioning. No window to open anywhere. lack of internet wi-fi connection. it failed.A few little things, the hallways were a bit smelly, toilet run out oftoilet paper, something that shouldn't really happen in a 4-star hotel. roomservice was terrible: wrong food, tast bad, costs a fortune... apart from the additional 6 euro for the roomservice!. The room was a bit stuffy and smelly but the window could not be opened for fresh air. The noisy fan did not work well. Superior rooms are not superior at all but standard and very outdated in bad need of refurbishment. Fans in room don´t work (we had 3 rooms and none worked), no airco so make sure you have a room where the window opens (1st floor they don´t) Window frames were so old and rotten they fell apart when we opened them. Lots of noise on the street side all night so had a hard time sleeping.
