It was not very clear to me that the breakfast was not included and that I would have to pay £10 per people per day to have breakfast there. Would not pay the full price. Security is the big concern. All hotel rooms are on ground floor, with a big front door as the entrance to the hotel. My room door was opened by somebody with a torch in mid night when i was sleeping. Coz no reception at night, security is your own concern and no one will help you...I was so scared after that incident and dare not to sleep. Terrible to imagine what if that stranger got into my roo. just the fact that we were unable to contact them based on the information you provided in our booking reservation. The hotel was closed when I arrived (at 6 pm!) and nobody answered the door. After calling them, I was able to get in. Room came with kettle, but no coffee!. The breakfest price far too high with 18 Euros !. We stayed in the appartment - on the booking.com site it indicated to be 500 meter from the hotel, but this was much more.breakfast was very basic but expensive. Not warm enough (the heating could not combat the cold weather), no door to the shower (water all over the bathroom!), no plug in wash basin. Carepet stains and damp blister patch on wall next to the bathroom. A little renovation is in order which would make the hotel a lot better. 1) They added 5 euro to the bill for "administration"??2) they asked 13,5 euro tourist taxt for 4 nights, while another hotel in Delft that I was in last week charged 8 euro for 4 nights 3) the corridors and the plumbing really need "renovation". There is no blow dryer in the room. The staff refused to tell me about the way, just gave me a guide tour book instead...1- Some of the staff can't communicate in english properly. 2- Since I arrived I noticed the fridge door of the room is brocken and informed the reception but no action has been taken place!! 3- I wanted to leave the hotel earlier than the schedule, however the receptionist insisted to me not to do that and said I have to stay by the last moments no matter if I have to!!. Old, no secuirty. Both windows were broken (did not close properly) so there was a huge draft of cold air into the room. There was an electric heater in the room to compensate but it made a lot of noise. Having windows held "shut" by rope tied to the tv fixture on the wall is simply not what one expects from a hotel in this category. They didn't accept credit cards. Breakfast was grossly overpriced.The windows are screwed shut and it was not possible to open them I was there the night of the recent fire and many of the windows the firemen were unable to open. Aklso there was no audible fire alarm in the hotel - the firemen woke me up! I have preeviously complained to this web site concerning the bad condition of the fire escape stairs. The receptionist was not welcoming when we first arrived. The website said available from 11am and the room wasn't ready until after 1pm. The curtains were broken. The carpet strip in the hall was dangerous. Shall I go on? The place was overpriced for somewhere so run down. Just because it was in Old Delft that doesn't excuse the price of the room.The hotel is pretending to be a 4-star, but that can impossible be true. Extra charge for bokking via Internet. This was not stated on the internet. It was very expensive and not very nice, I thought that it was very strange that I had to pay in cash. not parking slot, bathroom not cleaned, street noisy, impossible to manage the radio... Not a pleasant stay in the end.Poor check in. Not friendly at all. No facility for paying by credit card. Only told this when checking out. Very rude staff on reception. We did not like: the price compared to quality, the room was very small and very dated. Poor/No maintenance and the backyard was full with weed. The owner of the apartment did not accept creditcards/pin, only cash. (felt very strange, since there was a PIN/Creditcard machine present for hotel-guests). Overall very disapointing.
