Rooms are practically furnished and include comfortable beds, a TV, minibar and desk. All bathrooms feature a shower. The on-site restaurant serves international dishes for lunch and diner. It was good value as I got a cheap internet rate. Just opposite the hotel is the Amsterdamme Bos which is nice if you want to strecth your legs. The bar is nice and the prices are only a little above usual Amsterdam prices. Once again though Accor Hotels have let themselves down with the telvision services. BBC 1 was not available and I do not think BBC world should only be available on pay TV.

No, Would go baack.problems: hotel shuttle. it doesn't really follow the schedule exactly, one time it didn't show up. it would be very helpfull if the drivers try to be on time, not very pleasant to wait more than one hour and a half in the buss station, there were 1-2degC outside... transport by the shuttle, very often full. 1) Bus service to and from SChiphol could be a bit more frequent during rush hours. It is not bad but could be improved by for instance skipping the stops at various hotels on the way back from Schiphol. Internet access is ridiculously expensive. Charges for use of the room phone were high. The breakfast bar was well stocked; however, we have been at others where the price is 30-35% less. There is a sign on the bathroom mirror about towel placement for energy conservation which we followed - yet all towels were replaced daily. We managed to get a really good deal for three nights but the full price of rooms did seem expensive considering the location. Breakfast at 20.5 euros each also seemed excessive, although you could make other arrangements.No, not one thing. It was perfect. Staff didn't really know a lot about the city - they need a concierge. The location is such that if you do not have your own transportation then it becomes little difficult to go out looking for something (you have the airport shuttle but you can just get into schiphol for everything), there is no McDonalds or KFC close by. For me the dinner at the hotel was little tough being an indian i did not have much choice at the recipes that are served over there. Fruit salad in a breakfast was not fresh (some fruit were tainted!). The breakfast in general was very basic.old style bathroom and rooms should be renovated.... The price of internet connection is a little high.Frequency of shuttle bus to airport was on the low side. The shuttle is too infrequent and does not clearly display the hotel name. The shuttle is shared with three (3) other hotels.Hotel used to have dedicated airport shuttle bus; now it shares one with three other hotels, increasing travel time, and decreasing the frequency of trips in each direction. The bus shuttle didn't drive as it should; we had to wait for it for more than an hour. What I did not like is a concern of the accor organization!! The drivefrom the airport to the hotel was stupid passing all other 3 hotelschanging bushes poor drivers took a rite of 45 minutes from the asirportto the hotel. That never ever again because it is bad management tothink that your guasts our a bunch of cows. Sorry. Airport Shuttle 50 min is too long , bus stop @ every hotel. the surprise that about 10% of the room price we had to pay for the parking. Charges for all the little extras, like internet in the lobby nad terrible shuttle bus service due to lack of frequency and confusion in which bus of two with the same colour and logo scheme served to Mercure.np smoker space. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, room service finished 11 pm, cafe/bar closed 12 midnight Saturday/Sunday. Surprising for hotel catering for airport. Can be long gaps between shuttle times, but times are clearly displayed and were accurate.The choice in the restaurant was poor. ıt is a hotel which is not very close to the centre so only alternative to eat is the restaurant but there was very limited food. They did not knock on the door for room cleaning. They always wanted tofill up the mini bar.. Do not take a taxi from the Airport to the hotelis going to cost you allot...Elevate private parking fee. Some problems with the reservation , we paid a room including breakfastbut we had some problems with the waiter cause he was saying we didn't .The problem was solved quickly .The shuttle bus run infrequently - once in an hour approximately, and it took 30 minutes to get to the Airport, not 5 minutes as it advertised, as it ran via 4 to 5 hotels. Shuttle buses ran are often fully packed with no seats available. It took at least one hour before you get to Amsterdam City Centre, very inconvenient. No in room coffee. Rooms and facilities were more oike a Novotel!. I put "Do not disturbe" on the door and they got inside my room anyway. This hotel is category 4-stars: within this category, the bathrooms arestandard too small, quality of breakfast is too poor for € 20,50 (!),central heating was default only lukewarm on max. Position ( 8 deg.Celsius outside). I Think, 3 stars category and lower price forbreakfast would be fair. Too much plastic. Ambiance is not very good plus elevator is much too small.The schuttle bus is also too small.Very inconvient. The room was too small and the bed and especially pillow was very unconfortable.The receptionist was not very hepfull.Accessibilty other than by car poor due to major road wih no footpath. No Tea/Coffee facilities in room. Poor evening meal menu.

The Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Airport is a modern, first class hotel. Ideally located along the A4 Amsterdam-Den Haag motorway (exit S107) and close to Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, the RAI conference centre and The World Trade Centre. All 152 rooms are equipped with many modern facilities. All rooms are non-smoking. The restaurants, meeting rooms, corridors and elevators are all non-smoking. Smoking is allowed in the bar, foyer and meeting room lounge. You can find all the facilities that will make your meetings, business presentations, training sessions, parties and dinners a success. A free shuttle service to and from Schiphol Airport is available. Opposite the hotel you will a find a bus stop that can take you to the Leidsplein (Amsterdam centre).

Important information to guests

Please note that the airport shuttle service is available for a surcharge during fixed times: - 06:00 until 12:00 - 17:00 until 23:45. During the afternoon between 12:00 and 17:00 the shuttle is available upon request. Please note that from June 2016, charges may apply for the shuttle service. Please note that guests are required to show the credit card which has been used to make the booking, upon arrival.
