Nabil the manager is very nice and kind. It's in the middle of the city 4 min' walking from Dam's and 10 Min'walking from Ledisepalin. You have bathroom with warm shower and tv andgood bed. I'll come back for sure!. The 5 bed family room was amazing for our stay. Really big and comfortable. THe breakfast served in the room was great and was a very nice touch. Would definitely stay here again!. all reviews »
Very friendly staff helpful in all ways. The central location, and theability to be able to make a cup of tea. (Kettle etc supplied in rooms). breakfast in bed every morninf was fab - a boiled egg, bread, cheese, jam etc.good location near the center of the city, nice staff and rooms. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Tea and coffee facilities in the room! excellent little touch made all the difference, nothing like having a cup of tea/coffee at night or in the morning!
Excellent location 5-10 mins from train station and tourist locations.
Staff very friendly, hotel rooms small but clean and comfortable.
Smoking rooms if your a smoker then this is good for you.
Would use again if back in Amsterdam. The room was comfortable and we especially enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and watching the world go by. The location was excellent for our purposes - Anne Frank's House, Dam Square, museums etc. TV with plenty of channels and a 'fridge in the room gave that extra bit of comfort. The staff were very helpful and also let us leave our luggage in the office on the last day for later pickup. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Everything in the room, including the TV remote, was in working order. The fridge and shower were spotlessly clean, and the TV is placed at the right level above the bed, so it can be easily seen while lying in bed. The TV (cable) had a good selection of channels, including English language ones. Internet connection in the room was very good and smooth. Breakfast to the room includes yoghurt, egg, 3 pieces of bread, 2 slices of ham/cheese, butter/jam, packaged juice. In the room there's a kettle and tea bags, instant coffee. The kettle to boil hot water is very nice indeed.Staff are friendly and helpful. The services are excellent. The location is central and easy to reach most of significant landmarks. Very well maintained hotel in a great location, did not pay for a toilet in the room but it was located right next to ours anyway.Great location and balcony, friendliness of staff, clean towels every day and the flexibility of breakfast in the room. Nice people, smoking is allowed, very close to the center, comfortable room. Very good location and good cleaning of the room. Breakfast in bed. Excelent shower. The location of the hotel is very convenient. I had a room facing theback of the hotel so there was little street noise. While my room wasvery small, it had two large windows looking into the courtyards behindthe hotel. Ideal location close to city centre. Staff were very friendly and accomadating. Room was very clean and spacious - however we booked a family room for 4 people. Clean, friendly staff, good price. the location was excellent, had a balcony which we could sit out in. the staff were very pleasant and you get breakfast in bed( we even got ours later). Own fridge, water heater and shower in the room was excellent. Also the possibility to smoke is a plus. Location - all city attractions are accessible by walk.Good value of money. Good location. The breakfast was very nice!! More than continental breakfast. Nicestaff and balcony.Good location - in the center. Good location and nice staff. The house and its location. Breakfast, fridge. Location, I loved that you can walk anywhere in the city within about 10-15mins. Plus it is in one of the better locations of Amsterdam, surrounded by nice bars, restaurants, markets, museums etc. Cleanliness of the room was good. It was a very basic room but it had a tv, tea/coffee making facilities (which i always like) plus it had a tiny little fridge which we were able to buy a few groceries. Hotel was in excellent central location. Room was small but very clean, and staff were friendly. Bathroom very basic but we were very glad not to be sharing.Close to the centre of town and no problems about smoking in the room.Friendly staff and breakfast in bed!. is in the really centre of the city. t.v. great location. Near Dam. The hotel is close to the city centre and hence very convenient to move around.Nothing. Maybe the staris (: there is small stairs but it's like in allAmsterdam!. No, was a great budget hotel. Though, the stairs up to it would not be suitable for elderly or disabled guests (Though these type of stairs are common all over Amsterdam). The stairs are a killer!. Some problems with shower (low head of water). Breakfast could be better, but can't complain for price.
Stairs are a nightmare but par for the course in Amsterdam, be warned, not for anyone with a disability or the elderly. Nothing that I disliked. If you have a large suitcase or lots of luggage, the very long staircase, with its narrow steps, would be a major hassle, but this is a heritage building and by law, lifts cannot be installed. These types of staircases are typical in Dutch homes. As the lovely staff carried my very heavy suitcase up and down the staircases, I cannot complain. My room was facing the tram line, so it could be a bit noisy sometimes. The room has got a balcony which would be very good to take a seat during summer time, but not in February. The price is a little high and the entrance stair is too high and difficult to manage.stairs were a bit intimidating but this is par for the course in amsterdam. If possible, improve the soundproofing of the room. The stairs but I think that's the way they are in amsterdam. There is a free breakfast, but it is quite mediocre, so I ended upeating out for breakfast - there are several cafes and restaurantslocated nearby. There is no wireless internet provided at the hotel. Also I paid 80 Euros on two nights for what is actually a 60 Euro room -a 33% seasonal surcharge seems a bit excessive. You need a head for heights with the stairs. the room was little bit small and the stairs extremely steep even by amsterdam standards!. Quite much stairs, but that didn't bother so much - just a minor minus. Breakfast is cold food, only hot coffee or tea (you have to boil the water by yourself).A little to steep stairs... Very tiny bathrooms.I booked a double room and we had to sleep in the same bed...I would have thought a double room meant 2 twin or double beds. No curtains in the toilet colocated with the shower. Double glasswindows would be better in the noisy street. We had to climb three large flights of steep stairs to get to our room. Very tiring! small bathroom but expected for the price. There is 37 narrow steps to the reception and then some more to yr room, I guess this is normal in Amsterdam.Single room has no Private WC.Stairs were horrendous. To get to hotel reception (which was on the 1st floor) the stairs were like a ladder they were so vertical. Could barely catch my breath after dragging my suitcase up the stairs, after checking in we were given our room keep which meant we had to climb 2 more flights of stairs....phew!!! extremely hard work!. Stairs were very hard work. Window in room lovely and big but felt that with the room being small it would be easy enough to trip and fall out, so we ended up keeping the windows closed.yes too much stairs and its easy to get injured. The hotel has reception on the first floor. You have to climb almost 30plus steps to reach the reception. Also the passage is very narrow and its a nighmare if you have to go up and down with baggage. The stairs were terrible - better advance warning would be good.
