We just got back from a week long trip in Morocco and stayed at Dar Andamaure for three nights. We enjoyed every bit of our stay there. The owners Marie and Philippe are just amazing people. They really make you feel at home at their riad and offer great suggestions on whatever questions you have. The staff are super friendly especially Abdallah who will pick you up as soon as you get off the taxi near the riad and brings you through all the narrow and crowded alleys until you get to the quiet .
all reviews » As everyone has mentioned before - Marie and Philippe and their staff make you very welcome. I think everyone is so relieved to find such a beautiful quiet place, after going down the bustling main street, packed with people, scooters, carts and horses and determined shopkeepers selling interesting but mostly shoddy wear... Through the twisting alleys - and knocking on the door to be greeted by a smiling, welcoming face; you do feel that you have arrived home and are calm and relaxed. Once in, . Marie, the owner, personally escorted us through the back streets of the medina and delivered us to our cooking course (we would have been hopelessly lost, otherwise). And after asking her advice about the location of boutique handbag shops, she took us to her favourite one, which had an eclectic and beautiful selection of bags, shoes & clothing. Her service was outstanding, and the riad was gorgeous and a haven of serenity. Highly recommended. We loved staying at Bar Andamaure, everything was wonderful, me and my sister felt like princesses during our stay:) The breakfast was lovely, the best orange juice I ever drank and Abdullah was so nice to us! And the terrace - amazing with a great view! And it is really central, so we definitely will come back there:)! Thank you Marie & Philip and seeing you hopefully soon again!. The staff especially Abduhali made the whole stay wonderful! He was incredibly warm and helpful. We really enjoyed the perfect location within the medina but still quiet location. It was very intimate and relaxed. Maria and Phillipe could not be a nicer more helpful couple. Staying in this Riad was one of the highlights of our trip. Marie and Philippe provided amazing service and even collected us from the square on foot and took us to their home. Breakfast was delicious. Allowed us to store luggage after our stay while we went on our desert hike. The owners Marie and Philippe were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The location was superb and in the heart of the medina. The riad was stylish and tasteful. And the staff and service was excellent. Everything! The 3 members of staff friendly, professional and attentive. Fresh fruit served with breakfast. The Morroccan wine served on the terrace. The rooms clean, constant hot water. Friendly staff, convenient position. Clean. Polite staff , cleanliness . Weren't very keen on Marrakesh, but it is everything that we should expect - hot and busy, rather intimidating at first. When you get used to smiling but saying a firm 'no' you feel more in control....and do what your mother always told you 'don't go off with strangers'. If you need directions, ask a shopkeeper who is on their own or behind the till, so they can't leading the way!. Double bed is a bit small as it needs to fit the bijoux room The fact that we had only one night there!. There was nothing we didn't like. I cannot think of anything. We were delighted by all. Not the hotel, but the city. We feel like we are the target of money getter. We come from Asia and Bali, we know how to serve tourist. They are rough, forceful to your face. Not for a relaxing holiday!. Leaving!. Getting to the hotel is a little complicated the first time but if you are taken there from the airport it will be no problem. N.A. Bathroom could do with a little more light, wifi doesn't really stretch to the bedrooms. Breakfast very basic. The streets go to the Dar andamore.
