Fantastic place to stay, The staff were amazing, the owner was always there when required. We arrived late almost mid night and the owner was wide awake waiting for our arrival. Beutiful setting in the courtyard. The breakfast was good (although I prefer buffets, but thats probably because of my size hehehe). All together I just want to say a very big thank you to the staff and we will definatly be back :).
all reviews » The owner and the lady-manager (Hind) were extremely nice and accommodating. They gave us several good dining suggestions, we could order some excellent pastries through them. The parrot was a charm. Wifi works well and can be accessed from the rooms. Breakfasts varied from day to day and included Moroccan specialties. Absolutely everything about this Raid was wonderful. It was so good I almost don't want people to know about it!! The renovations have been carried out with the finest workmanship. The locations is outstanding, being only 100 m from the taxi and at the gates of the Medina,. Our suite was spectacular in all aspects.,. Great atmosphere, great view from the terrace! The architecture alone is worth a visit. Cute speaking parrot:-).The maroccan style breakfast was sumptuos. The staff was kind, warm and welcoming and always helpful! The position is ideal to explore the medina. We suggest to try the dinner- best deal in town. The room we had was very nice with a large bathroom. The decor was very traditional and pleasant, the staff nice, unfortunately only one spoke English. The location was great and we enjoyed exploring the medina. We only had breakfast which was very nice. Distance to modern Fes was excellent. Well located close to the Blue gate, beautiful restored riad, helpful owners, massive suite with climb-in tiled bath and seating area in room, city guide service available from riad, loverly breakfasts, live in parrot, washing service available. No complaints thank you very much once again. It was rather cold in our family suite, so we had to use the heaters. There was unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom sink, but the personnel did its best to minimise it. The previous Riad had a plunge pool so this was an expectation. Nothing. In a hard to find corner of the alley way. We had to pay a local kid to take us there (We would never find it ourselves). But that is the nature of staying at the edge of the Medina. It doesn't accept credit card. The breakfast could use an improvement. The shower was bad, and there was no box around it, so it was very cold during the bath. We often had no warm or tied water in the shower. Sometimes we had no water at all !!!! The sanitary accomodiation was not up too date anymore. Nothing to complane. Wifi didnt work in the 3rd floor that we stayed. And the lock of the room is not easy to handle. - covering of patio.
