Any hotel on this stretch of Tulum beach can't fail to have a 'wow' factor so Rosa del Viento is no exception. The views of the sea and proximity to the sand are fabulous. The beach furniture is plentiful and the rooms are well appointed - even for a beach side 'cabin'. The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. We had a slight problem with the shower plumbing on the last night (nobody's fault) and the manager was immediately there to help out and arrange it to be fixed the next morning.
all reviews » The night we arrived was stormy but a warm and friendly staff made you feel welcome and a comfortable bed awaited us. I cannot say enough about the staff, from the owner Máximo and the front desk , Josep and Diana to the restaurant cadre, Jose Manuel, Marcos, Teodoro, and all the rest.It was a magical stay and although it seemed at times we were in splendid isolation, even that was fantastic with the ocean at our feet and the wind in the palms..we will definitely do it again and highly recomend. This hotel is just perfect. I have seen others in tulum and this is the top. Staff is friendly yet very professional, always efficient and smiling. Food at the restaurant is indeed one if the best I tried in Tulum. Rooms are beautiful, clean, spacious, with every possible comfort like a rain shower but still "palapa style". The best, they have the guy who climbs up the palm to have you drink and eat the fresh coconut. This boutique property is located right on the beach, which was absolutely beautiful (semi secluded, uncrowded). The staff was attentive and friendly. I once fell asleep on a lounger only to awake to a freshly refilled mojito. Pure heaven. My room was spacious, modern, clean and smartly designed. Although not beach facing, it opened to a large balcony which overlooked the grounds. I loved my stay here!. was perfect, it was better what we dreamed. both of us we life in hotels a lot and this one amazing. great stuff, food and drinks of restaurant was super, great sea food, pizza´s really good, tiramisu.... would have loved to stay rest of my life. amazing beach, room perfect. we were just amazed. everything great from first point till end. No crowds meant no stressing about getting a good spot. The way the beach is set with the matresses and ombrellas is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The restaurant is also a big plus, since this is the best (or very close) of punta Allen. Very good price for the quality. The staff made this a very friendly, comfortable, and enjoyable place to stay. And the restaurant provided very high quality and diverse meals. Our stay there turned out to be one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've had. Far from the city, right on the beach, very quiet, no TV, no phone and very relaxing which we wanted!! The cottage like units are spacious and clean. The view from the restaurant is excellent. Loved the place!. I loved the decor in the cabanas; very fresh and bright. The ceiling fans made them very comfortable with all the screened windows open. Food was great! Staff was great! The beach setting is great!. This little caban resort is all about location. Right at a gergeous and secluded beach, at the end of the Tulum boutique hotel strip. A true gem, when it comes to location. The local staff are helpful, friendly and hospitable. The ocean front cabanas have an unforgettable view, the sound of the crashing waves at night is really relaxing. The beach is great because is always quiet and pretty. Rooms are nice but need a bit more love, feel a bit old already. The waiters are really nice & friendly, they were the ones with always a smile on the face. I suppose you don't go to the beach for authentic Mexican / Mayan food, but I was a little disappointed with the restaurant. There was nothing wrong with the quality or service, but the menu was too safely Euro-centric / generic. The restaurant is a but pricey, but it is, compared to others, indeed worth it. The hotel is located further south on the beach stretch and is pretty secluded. It's nearest neighboring property is about a 10 min walk away. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but plan on renting a bike to explore other areas of Tulum. nothing. Reception could be a little more helpful and friendlier, perhaps just a little too relaxed for my liking. It's a bit far from the ruins, but you can rent bikes and go there in 40 min or take a cab easily. I just want to emphasize that this area is not a luxury resort type since they run off of generators, so the rooms and amenities are very basic. But we found we didn't really need any of that because of the charm of the place. Nothing!. It is located at the very end of Tulum beach road so not accessible to much, however taxis are always around & easy to take anywhere. It is extremely close & convenient to the S'ian Kan reserve. there was nothing that we did not like. Staff overwhelmed, especially the food service. No services or even coffee until 8 am or after 9 pm. Although arrangementvis individual cabanas, the Site plan is crowded, so little privacy. The shower water smells like mud e and the tap water tastes salty. The tap water is salty meaning that the room, sheets, towels and clothes don't really dry from day one. They should change the sheets every day. can't think of... The bike hire was expensive and you could only hire bikes for a full 24 hours. Given the location of the hotel it would have been great to have been able to hire the bikes for an evening for much cheaper. The pick-up from the airport arranged by the hotel was also poor, we waited for ages and it was expensive, on the return journey a taxi took us for two-thirds of the price. The smell of the water for the shower and sink was a bit heavy. nothing. Location was a bit far from everything else in Tulum. Required a car. internet connection was bad. water and room smell bad sometimes. Last hotel on the beach, so taxi necessary to visit other restaurants. Bicycles in bad condition. Nothing. Far from night life. Very sluggish staff. Very far from Tulum town so lack of dining choices. poor lighting in rooms. All great. The owners are distant, not invloved and lack passion for this little gem. They are just sitting behind their reception desk and never ever join for a talk or even to inquire how you as a guest feel about the place. A real bummer there. The rooms are not cleaned properly, the water is indeed smelly and overall the management lacks involvement, whereas they have such a beautiful place. The guy at the reception (spanish guy) is super unfriendly and didn't provide any help when required. Rooms and the facilities are starting to look worn out. Cleaningness is suffering too.. We stayed last year in this hotel and it was much better. This year everything looked messier, less cared for, had dogs walking around, and on top of that there is construction going on which we were not informed about.
