Perfect place for young travelers looking to travel on a tight budget. The location is premium, right on 5th Ave in the middle of all the fun, and a block away from the beach! The place is simple, but neat and cozy. If you are looking for Luxury, look somewhere else - but this place provides a nice central location to start your day and come home to at night. Rooms are air conditioned, and kept clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast is more than enoug.
all reviews » Good, clean, basic room with hot water. Staff was friendly and the breakfast included was good. No complaints. I would have liked a refrigerator in the room, but not absolutely necessary. Good location and my room was in the back and 3rd floor - so no noise as long as you ran the ceiling fan and air conditioner. I loved the atmosphere and the location, right in the center of Playa del Carmen. I also enjoyed the buffet style breakfast; it definitely started the morning right. I also thanked the front desk clerk, Filo, for his warm and welcoming attitude. I definitely enjoyed my two nights stay at Maya Bric. Very nice designed, modern and clean place in the heart of Playa del Carmen for a very good price-performance-ratio. 3 minutes walk to main beach, thousands of restaurants, shops etc in direct neighborhood. Good breakfast, nice and helpful staff. Wifi was strong enough to reach our room. loved the hotel.all of the staff were fantastic The buffet breakfast was delectable..beautiful courtyard, pool was great with palapas,loungers,tables and umbrellas. super location. just loved it and would stay there again and also would recommend. We were prepared to have limited amenities, so these are not negatives so much as just observations. The beds are a bit hard, but honestly it was a great night sleep, back felt great. The tv's are a bit small - but who watches tv on vacation anyway? Other than that everything was great. Towels were really thin. Could update their towels and buy some new ones. Also, safe in my room was broken and couldn't use it. Due to the location in the center it can be a bit noisy in the evening/ at night, restaurants and bars a quite close and you can hear live music etc from these places in the rooms. loved everything about it!!!!!!. Wifi existed in our room but it wasn't great- slow and unreliable. Really noisy until 00h, lota lota of dust and humidity, mould and infiltrations.. Too Bad for alergics..check the room before staying. The free wi-fi in the lobby (it could be in all the common areas). The towels should be changed/washed by request only and I'd appreciate a better quality. there is not hot top. The rooms are quite dark. If it had a mini fridge it would be agreat place. bed was extremely hard & some very, very loud guests out late in common area. toilet did not always flush, though I managed with no complaints. Hotel is very basic, but clean. If you are looking for luxury then this isn't for you. The pool is used for diving lessons in the morning and I wouldn't use it after as there is up to 5/6 people in full scuba gear in the pool, not very hygienic. The room condition is very poor and dirty. Its ok for 1 or 2 night stay but if you want to spend a week there, try to find another place. Situated in a very noisy, party area. Noisy until early morning. Good for partyers, not people who want a good night's sleep. The location is right downtown Playa and extremely noisy from the street noise. Also, you couldn't use the pool most of the day as the hotel rents it out for scuba lessons. Also, they were under construction at the hotel and there was constant banging on the walls of our room. No consideration was given to hotel guests for this. I would think they could have done their construction during the off season instead of early March. Night shift desk clerk was not very friendly. Room looks very old, it really need to be refurbished. Water pressure too low. - Bruyant la nuit (bar boîte en face), je déconseille donc aux familles avec enfants d'y séjourner. No shower pressure Only one electrical outlet in room Internet down each night Construction work at hotel Noisy. they charged in advance all the stay they used a higher rate than the market for the peso the room was full of signs ok infiltration and the tap was out of order and not fixed when asked to two times had to complain that there was no water in the bathroom the breakfast was nor ready at the time schedule and could not have it although i paid for it.
