Actually the room I wanted but not available via letsbookhotel.com was two bedrooms apartment. The room can only be booked directly with hotel but i need to pay full amount of deposit into bank account when making reservation for the said room. I prefer to book using my credit card as I am working in Brunei. Anyhow I still make reservation for Super Deluxe Quadruple Room for 4 persons via letsbookhotel.com. When I was there, I asked whether two bedrooms apartment still available. And they sai.
all reviews » Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location within short walk of several restaurants and shops and the beach. Family room was good size (with two large double beds and a large bathroom) and very comfortable. The pool area is great, facing a waterfall and a hill with subtropical rainforest. Excellent value for money. They offer a daily buffet dinner beside the pool, which is reasonably priced and offers a huge variety of food (Indian, Chinese, Malay, Western). I found the quality of the food . I'd say Aseania is located at one of the best places in Langkawi. Its just 2 minutes walk from the Pentai Chenang beach. The swimming pool in the hotel is just great with different kinds of pools in a long stretch. Though rooms are a bit old but still it is comfortable and big enough. Buffet breakfast choices were also good. We loved our stay in the hotel. Under Water World is just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel and there are plenty of good budget friendly restaurants nearby. we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, 4 days and I liked it :) the staff were friendly and we had to check in at 3pm but we arrived earlier around 2 and we didn't have to wait and our room was already ready :) it has a nice swimming pool and we were satisfied with the breakfast as well :) the location was nice and like 7,8 mins walking to the public beach, overall we were happy with out stay at this hotel :). Friendly, courteous, helpful staff. Good value for money/charges. Needs a little updating of the aging building and facilities but, that's like wanting a Rolls for the price of a Commodore. Very relaxing time for me, wife and adult daughter. Will recoomend and will stay again. Great pool for kids and adults. Super restaurants nearby. The kids loved the huge pool, the water slides, the wave pool and the lazy river. It wasn't overcrowded and so that was good. The location is ideal, 2 min walk to the beach, 1 min walk to the main street accessible for any type of food, variety of shopping and cultural sightseeing. Good value for money in terms of a budget hotel. Hotel was in a great location and offered good facilities. The pool was great and sold it for us. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff all very friendly. Prices for other meals reasonable and could book all tours and taxis at the hotel for competitive prices. Cleaners did a good job of our room each day. Big beds super comfortable. The mini water themepark was a wonderful entertainment for my kids and most if the staff were really helpful. The double bed in the room certainly caught me by surprise, a very pleasant one though, since it was very spacious and comfy. Room service menu was delightful to my kids' liking. Hotel Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Tour Desk available in Hotel and they can arrange tours with reasonable price. Hotel staff can arrange taxi anytime. Room was big and very comfortable. Swimming pool is really awesome. location is nice,staff are helpful and the pool it's wonderful because of the falling water from the montain. evening it's very nice to enjoy a cap of coffee with your friends or family member next to it. Great location near cheap but cool restaurant (but try to avoid travel agency next to tom yam restaurant, the owner there has poor punctuality in terms of time) 2. The location is very good, I say. It's at the end of Pantai Cenang street, which is better cuz u can relax and the crowded area is only a few steps away. Something special about this hotel is the variety kind of pools. The breakfast buffet has quite limited choice. There is no lift to the the apartment leve/block. As my mother is very elderly where sometime require the use of wheelchair. Rooms are a bit old and needs facelift. Saw few ants on the table in the room. there were some dirty dishes in the aisle going to our room and they didn't take it out for the whole 4 days that I was there. The buffet breakfast was chaotic but the staff did their best to smile and accommodate requests. The room did not have a safe and the bathroom was basic. Paid extra for a delux room but this just meant an extra bed in the room not the other extras in the description like a couch or sitting area. Didnt bother asking about it though. Room smelt a bit musty and the bathroom was old and a bit grotty. Overall the hotel is very tired but the facilities and service and location made up for this. Better training should be provided to non-local staff at reception especially since I suspect there were some problem communicating and they were yet to be as efficient as some others. E.g. checking in took some time since my booking was found much later although my details were already available by counter. No Comments. We were very comfortable there. every thing was fine. The entire facility felt much older than it really was. No elevator, no wheelchair ramps (we weren't personally effected by this, but it was noticeably absent). The food was not so great. The room was very small. Nothing to dislike. No lift/elevator - taking stairs is inconvenient for me with little toddler. Reservation dept did not update our request accordingly even though we have called them a day before arrival. We preferred one large double bed and we have requested through letsbookhotel.com but on arrival our request have been deny by the reception of the hotel because in the reservation system is not updated accordingly.. What a shame for a hotel with stars. The lift was to small , had to walk to far to go to the lift and my room. other than that I like the hotel and will recommend people to go to Asenia. There is one incident where the hotel closed the pool 1 hour early due to "staffs's event"..have to complaint before the pool open again. But we lost 30 minutes there. Breakfast much choices. Hotel should have restriction to its customers not to disturb their door neighbors at the middle of the night. Nothing. not enough ventilation in the toilet. Nothing. The Bathroom, Basin too small. 1. the food is so so, not really good & not really bad. 2.the hotel have old odour. nthng. There is no carpet in the room. TV reception no good. The insects in the room - cockroach. everything is a little old. 1. Every facility is too old (under renovation now,,,) 2. Some staffs are not freindly to english spoken guests... 3. Poor Internet (Wi Fi )facility, neither there is no internet zone. Room, & Toilet. There was only one small elevator working, so u had to wait for a while. Also, its very far from the reception...for such a big hotel, they should have more elevators! The hotel has the hallways like an open area, so u will find a lot of insects in front of ur door. The price was good, but i was expecting more from what i have seen from the pictures. All in one, it was alright, but it can always be better. My advice: say u r in honeymoon :). The restaurant on the evening was not any good. Expensive, and we was served raw meat . Several other guest also complained on the same evening, soo maybe the restaurant just had a bad day? We bid not eat at the restaurant more then once.. The price per night is too pricey to match the hotel's overall condition. The room has no sound proofing & it was quite noisy... You can actually hear your neighbour's talking & kids screaming in the next room. The facilities provided in the room were very basic. The room floors are not fully carpeted... I believe the rooms & some parts of the hotel are in need of revamp... I prefer charming and sturdy (not built cheaply) accommodations that are not necessarily showy in the entrance way, full of empty space, long hallways and strange dead ends. It feels like it wants to be a 4 star, but I would say it's an average 3 star. Furnishing is poor and hotel is very much lacking of maintenance. Some level of refurbishing all room and furniture will improve over impression significantly. Cleaning of bathroom in room. The rooms had a funny smell and were quite outdated and were not cleaned daily unless stated!!!. breakfast could use little more variety. Fruit juices were powder juices, Tea was not good either. They can improve the cleanliness of the place. A food tray was left outside a room door for all 5 days and no one had the initiative to clear it. In general the hotel is old and requires renovation. Bathrooms are horrible in all types of rooms, insects and ants should not be a surprise for you. The staff is trying to make it look nice and clean as much as they can but bathrooms impossible to make clean, they are just old and require renovation. At the same time rooms look good and clean and they really are!. we were not given the room which we had booked initially but after a day, they did change it upon my request. the staff at the reception need more training which is not their own fault, hotel management should look into it. the hotel infa-structure needs to be upgraded. Rooms and finishing are getting old. Need better maintenance to uphold the image for the future. Maybe need to repaint the whole building to make it more welcoming and cheerful.
