We had a very pleasant stay in Hong hotel, it's in a central position in chinatown Melakka, you can reach the city centre in few steps. Owners are reaaly kind and smiley, they help you with everything, for example they took us to the restaurant we choose and picked up from there. They also take you to the Sentral Bus Station if you have to take a bus. Coffee and tea are offered in the small hall and there is also a computer with internet connection (if you have a device, wifi internet is free o.
all reviews » Hotel owner is super nice. We got to Melacca at 11 something pm by bus. He was willing to come out to give us a ride back to the hotel. And he asked if we ate yet and took us to eat late night snack. We needed to take 7am something bus as well and hotel owner was willing to give us a ride back to the bus station when we left. And they didn't take any tips from us. I don't know what to say to thank them! They are the best people and my favorite people that I bump into during my trip to Malaysia . Hotel owner is super nice. Spotlessly clean, they kindly offered us a bigger room when they saw the size of our luggage!, they provided DVDs for the player in the room, computer with internet available for use at reception, and they offered us free traditional Malaysian breakfast even though no breakfast was meant to be included. Friendly helpful staff, a pleasure to stay there. Don't be put off by how it looks from the street. Great value for money and ideal location right near Chinatown! Can walk to the river and all t. We spent a night at Hotel Hong where the owner and staffs were very nice and helpful to us. The hotel location was great, we can reached Jonker St. on 5 minutes walk. The rooms were clean and tidy. There were no freezer in rooms but hot/cold water tank with instant coffees available 24 hrs at lobby. The owner also gave us a ride to Melaka Sentral as well, you will see he was nice. If i have a chance to visit Melaka again, i will definitely stay at Hotel Hong. We were made to feel welcome by all staff. The room was small however adequate for our two night stay. The bed was comfortable. There is an upstairs patio which can be used by guests to have refreshments and to dry washing. There were complimentary snacks available each day at reception. The staff were very polite and helpful. We appreciated being driven to the bus depot on our last morning. The free WiFi worked well. >The bathroom is extra-hygienic and the pillow is very comfortable. Overall it's a nice comfy room. >The owner is uber cool. He must be the best hotel-owner in the world. Giving free tour in Malacca City and a treat at Satay Celup Resto (which was so yummy). >Very worth every penny. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They are very thoughtful to provide a map for you to look for famous eateries which are withjn walking distance from the hotel. The triple room that we slept also was same as shown in the internet. Eventhough it is small, but it is suit with the price. The matress and pillow also soft and comfort. Owner and staff were not only welcoming and friendly but were also helpful and knowledgeable when asked for advice and directions to interesting sites and eating places. So we recommend your hotel to set up astro channel because they were a few channel only that available. The upper deck on level 3 could be made brighter with extra lighting and perhaps a fridge with pay for soft drinks for guest to chill out. None really. Stronger wifi will be best but connections are steady. The amenities in the bathroom & tv channels can be improved. None!. - There will be a bit noisy from the corridor as the room are not carpeted. (But with the price you paid, what else to complain) - No windows. The room originally has windows, however they were instructed by the government to cover up all the windows due to some regulations. Nothing. mozzies in room. Room was small but okay for short stay. No breakfast available. My window was boarded up during my stay, so suddenly no light and no air could enter in my room... I don't know how temporary is going to be this, but I think you should check if this problem has been solved before you book unless you don't mind a room without windows. No windows in my room. Small toilet Taxi charged us rm20 from Melaka Sentral to the Hotel, if the hotel also provides picking up from the sentral (with charge is also ok), it will be wonderfull. none. the rooms are verry small. for just a night it is ok. Weather is hot~. - have to go up to first floor to get room. NOTHING unliking about the Hotel.
