It was the best hotel and resort i stayed in during my visit to malaysia, truly a luxurious experience, starting from check in to check out, they were very friendly and helpful, the resort was modernly designed , amazing sea view from our balcony , such a relaxing place, the view from the pool was breath taking, the breakfast in the morning was royal ! enjoyed every moment of my stay, i would definitely recommend it for any1 who want the full luxurious experience!.
all reviews » The buffet breakfast is one of the best in comparison to many 5 star hotels that I have stayed at. Very fresh, excellent variety, really amazing all around. The bed is extremely comfortable, the swimming pool is absolutely beautiful. There were a couple of minor instances that I had to raise my concern about, however the Guest Relations Manager (Jana Zahranova) was very courteous, professional and helpful. I can only highly recommend the Westin Langkawi. My family and I were very happy with the service and attention we received from the moment we stepped into Westin and throughout our stay. The staff were very friendly to our 1 year-old daughter and made us feel welcome. The food was good and we especially liked our breakfast buffet with fresh juices and huge variety of food so there was something for everyone. A very important item for me - our room was bug-free!. The Westin Langkawi Resort & SPA is a marvelous hotel with very friendly and professional staff. Design of rooms and restaurants is perfect as well as cuisine - seafood, tropical fruits, italian food ect. - all is cooked very well. The beach is also outstanding - coniferous and foliage trees everywhere, so you can lie in the shade and enjoy beautiful view of the sea and islands near by. The hotel was beautiful and the views overlooking the beach were amazing. The photos on the website doesn't do it justice. Breakfast selection was fabulous and it was a nice touch having a daily weather report on the table. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Gave complimentary bottled water everyday which was very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room service is very good We had to go to the airport but could not get a taxi, because it was end of Ramadan. The hotel staff drove us to the airport. This is in my opinion a very professional way to treat the guests the location of the restaurants is very good. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suites. The room is great and cosy. Just that the facilities and condition of the room is pretty run down though well maintained. Would be nice if the room is renovated and spruced up for a more up-to-date cosy feeling. Great location and friendly staff. We stayed in one of the villas looking over the beach. The villa was just renovated and has all the comfort you can wish. BF served in the room, own pool and can easy go for swim in the ocean. Spa is top!!!. The view of the seaside and pool. The location is the best for relaxation and to run away from daily work stress. They have very nice Sheesha at Breeze in the lobby you will enjoy it with the nice view. Amazing resort, we liked everything from the hostility to the food to the 3 ladies singers and the whole resort atmosphere. I would like to return again and again and sure I will advise it to freinds. The location is good although if one expects to spend time on the beach swimming in the sea, go to the northe side or chenang beach. The rest is great. It soes not have any play areas whether in the pool or near it for children.. nor activities for them. After the westin I stayed at Meritus Pelangi, it's not as fancy or quiet as the Westin, but the children's pool area is the best .. my 3 year old had a blast! And it's very family oriented. Absolutely nothing. beach water not very clean from the kuah harbour, no balkony in lower rates rooms, kuah city is boring and also the food in this city isn't good. beside the hotel is nothing special. no thing was bad. Hotel doesn't provide transportation to Jetty point. even it is only 10 mintunes walking distance. Only choice for traveller with luggages / kids is taxi. Cocktails are overpriced. Our stay was too short and we wish we could have had longer holidays. One minus: we wish the sea by the private beach was clearer. Very little to do in Kuah, luckily we had a car so we could drive around the sights. When we stopped at the hotel,there was also a business conference taking place,the breakfasts were hectic with the conference people all going at the same time as the other guests. Safe deposit box did not work and had to be replaced. Minor things I know but should have been checked prior to letting the room. The front desk counter, he was not professional in dealing while we check in. Rooms were lovely, but not as cleans as they could be. nothing. The front office staff did not check my booking in their system. Lucky i double check with my letsbookhotel.com. Ants and insects in the bathroom. The beach is not good for swimming. Insects and reptiles. Other than the International Buffet all other dinner options were expensive. Location of room allocated. nothing.
