The standard room with mountain view I got is spacious and comfortable. There are swimming pool, stream room and sauna. Breakfast offers variety choices from western to local dishes. Most of them are tastety and delicious, especially pudding (don't miss it). The hotel locates in the heart of Kuah city. So, it is a real shopping paradise for whom like to spend money. There are also many restaurants around the hotel. I would recommend 'Langkawi Sunrise Restaurant' for its delicious but cheap seaf.
all reviews » Stayed at Bayview Hotel for 4 days.. We were greeted when we arrived at the hotel lobby and the staff helped us with the luggage.. My family and I were very happy upon checking in the hotel room.. Room was clean, tidy and neat.. We stayed at the 12th floor facing the sea view and the view was awesome.. As for breakfast, the food served were average.. Not much variety.. There's a bazaar in front of the hotel and you can find cheap souvenirs there.. I would come back again to this hotel if I . The additional snack offer daily from 5pm to 8pm is an additional hospitality for guests especially those checked in late in the evening. Able to fulfill guest request like my stay when I booked online, all sea-view rooms were sold but I called the front desk staff and requested them to give me a sea-view room and they agreed to accomodate my request if it is available. When I checked-in I managed to get a sea-view room though I booked a hill-view one. Thanks again. We stayed for five days. It was very easy to reach from the airport being on the main road.Hotel is good, room excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Staying at Bayview was a pleasure with such big rooms, neat and clean, good ambience, nice breakfast. The view from the room was also very good.Also the swimming pool is very good. great for shopping etc...hire a car and drive around Langkawi and you will enjoy your stay there...will definitely come again! . Since the island Langkawi isn't very large, all attractions are at 30 minutes driving max. The Bayview Hotel is a 4 star hotel with 5 star staff. While the décor of the hotel is a little tired, one could not help but appreciate the effort made by staff to assist guests to make their stay a positive experience. The room service staff, in particular, were the best I have witnessed at any hotel I have stayed at in recent years...and that includes a number of 5 star operations across the globe. Huge hotel - clean, great service, breakfast for every taste (internation, asian), nice pool on 4th floor. Go for executive room with sea view - for few Usd more you will get access to 14th floor lounge (I wouldnt call it lounge tough) with complimentary snacks/tea/coffee. We had room on 11th floor, view was amazing, bathroom huge with shower and bath, room also huge. For Dutch Standards, excellent price/quality. Don't expect too much, but rooms were big and clean, breakfast was great, staff was very friendly and funny and the swimmingpool was nice. What more to expect from a 3* hotel? We didn't like kuah that much, but rent a scooter in the shop nearby (35 Mr per day) and you'll be around the island in 1,5 hours. This hotel is EXTREMELY clean!! It dont have a smell on the mattress or pillow or anything. It's just clean! And the staff are friendly and they work efficiently. They know I need some help although I haven't ask for. The only thing that makes me not satisfied is the breakfast. It doesn't have much choice and not really delicious. Our experience at the hotel was first class, very helpful and attentive staff, good quality food with a varied selection to cater for a variety of nationalities. My parents stayed there and she arranged eeerything smoothly. All our requests were made and my parents have been praising her and all Bayview staff non stop ever since they came back. The hotel could use some refurbishing. It looks and feels kinda outdated and worn-out and lacks athmosphere. That is something that would require quite an investment, but it feels like hotel is quite old - some lighting elements broken, deposit box not working, walls with scrathes. But overall I would recommend, everything else compensates. again, for a three star hotel, This place is great. Oh and from the comments we got that there would be a beach nearby, that's NOT the case!. The breakfast doesn't have much choice and not really delicious. They should also provide more food choices for those vegetarians. The snacks served at the executive longe are very minimal. Quality of food in the Chinese restaurant. The express laundry is too expensive. I send my clothes for laundry and get to know I have to pay rm253 for the clothes. I was shocked and none of the staff explain to be bout the express delivery. When I asked for their explanation the staff from house keeping department shouted at me makes me and my hubby quit upset. I was unhappy becuase the pool was closed too early. from the website it was shown that the hotel is just walking distance from the beach. But I was surprised it took us to reached the beach which Cenang Beach. Cheap selection of food in the Afternoon Tea at the Executive Lounge. Should have assorted sandwiches instead of just sardine being served for 2 consecutive days. Pasta or fried noodles would be good. Also scones with butter n jam is better than dried up cut plain cake. Should also add cold drinks or juice instead of just coffee and tea. Car park space is limited. The food is need some improvement. Even the food in the guest room from 5 to 8 is also need to be improved. I don't like the room smell. Room carpet should change. Swimming pool are small & should improve the breakfast food. Location wasn't the best for us as wanted to be near the beach area most days and night so had to get taxi's. Our fault though not the hotels!!. Parking - always run out of parking space. Front entrance - slope to drive up and down to the hotel front foyer is too steep. My wife slipped and fell while walking down the slope after raining. Only one room key was issued per room which caused inconvenient to us as one of us went out to meet friends and the other came back from jungle tracking without the room key to enter the room. I had continuously stayed at Bayview Langkawi for the past four years and found the quality of breakfast is declining this year. The pool was closed by 7pm. It was a bummer. 1. There isn't a need to spend extra for Sea View although you get to see the Eagle at the Eagle Square (actually too small with naked eye) mountain view is good enough. 2. Also, no need to spend extra for Executive Room. Not worth paying the differences for small cans of soda or beer and the evening snack. The floor carpet in the room is not really looked clean, with black spots. Very less varieties in TV channel. Although many arabic people staying in the hotel, There is no Arabic channels. Also, I feel the food typs of the brakfast need to be improved. The elevator closes too quickly and it can be hazardous. swimming pool is very basic بركة السباحه بسيطه وقديمه hotel is old but good for short stay الفندق قديم ولكن يصلح لعدة ليالي قليله. The swimming pool needs more care and cleaning. needs refurbishment. While the hotel was very central in Kuah, close to the pier and some shopping districts, a majority of the real life of Langkawi takes place on the opposite side of the island, requiring a long cab ride. Only 2 English channels on the tv. Pretty far away from the main tourist attractions. The breakfast was not so good and room service expensive. there is ants on coach of living room of my suite the smell of corridor in between rooms is not so well the breakfast buffet needs more variations especially arabic food. All executive rooms are with connecting doors and their are rooms without combination water cleaner (beda). Reception was not that helpful and did not provide solution for the connecting rooms, must first check the room before pay(very important). My booking status was not updated when I checked in and the staff even showed me reservation of hill view rooms still alive which I had already cancelled on letsbookhotel.com much earlier. هناك رائحة في الغرفة اعتقد انها نتيجة لابقاء النوافذ مغلقة بشكل دائم لكن في العموم لم تؤثر على ااجو ااعام للفندق.
