Of all the times I've been to Macau, it was my first time staying at Grand Lapa. I liked the old style charm of the hotel, especially the breakfast buffet dining restaurant. The staff was quite friendly and attentive. I saw the gym area and pool and looked like we were definetly be back next time to try that out. Overall good value for the money. Very pleasant hotel, conveniently located close to the Hong Kong-Macau ferry pier and not far from the center of Macau. Staff is very helpful and friendly. All my requests were perfectly taken care of. Rooms are large and are well equipped. I will certainly come back to this hotel.

So lacking were new amenities, like a flat screen TV or new carpet. It would of been good to have those in the rooms... 1) employee should be more caution about the guest name and sex. They send me a welcome letter which is good, but the sex and last name is wrong. The tv model is too old toilet facilities a bit old no free WiFI. Breakfast choice was only satisfactory. don't understand why they don't replace tv to flat screen. no free wi-fi. It feels very much like a rip-off to have to pay nearly £100 to have WiFi for 5 days. Price need to be competitive, felt it was too high. the rooms are old. Disappointed with the meal in the Thai restaurant. Coffee at the breakfast. Simple Bock bitter brew. Need to improve. The extras- read the small print as the rate only included 2 x breakfast and not all 4 of us and did not include any tax or service charge or the cost of an extra bed for one of the kids; so a bill at first sight of HKD 1499 was actually over £2000. The Crowds - the main streets of Macao were absolutely packed with tourists, mostly from the Mainland. Made Hong Kong look quiet. N/A. paid internet. Tv too old. nothing. Room furniture and deco is cheap and extremely old. Suitable for an old 3 star hotel. Trying to charge for Wi-Fi after paying US$200 /night - is petty and annoying.
