Nice hotel located at Kaunas city's main walking street Laisves Aleja, within walking distance to the old town and the Akropolis shopping mall. We stayed 5 nights in a spacious and comfortable double room facing a quiet parking lot. Our room was equipped with TV, air-con, toilet, shower, hair dryer, drinking glasses, towels, writing desk, table lamps and wardrobe. The staff were helpful and understand English. all reviews » What shall I say. It was absolutely excellent. Beautiful room, the cleanest bathroom I have ever been in, excellent channels and several news channels in English. Breakfast was ample and good. There was an umbrella stand at reception with several umbrellas for the guests to take out in case it rains. These simple touches made this hotel experience even more enjoyable. I couldn't believe that this hotel is actually only 2 star rating. What a great hotel. Excellent location, good size room with balcony overlooking the main pedestrian street. Breakfast now available in the hotel - an absolute snip at 3.5 euro. Reception staff spoke good English and were most helpful in booking taxi's and making restaurant reservation. Also used Presto Coffee Shop on ground floor and got 20% discount on showing hotel card. Location is very convenient, it is possible to enter your room independently, hotel is modern and quiet, room is clean and cosy, there is space for work and rest, bed is wide and comfortable, design is interesting with a balcony above the alley, Meastro cards are accepted. The band of drunk English speaking quests was very loud at night, however it is not the hotel's fault. The one more small thing the black tea run out one day and they did not bother to buy some even for the next day. Everything was great. Too few hooks and shelves in the bathroom. You have to call from a cell phone to get into the parking lot. The wifi connection was hard to get that day. Absolutely nothing. No minuses. The first desk employee was a bit grumpy, but still helpful. The city itself is a little bleak, but this is not a fault of the hotel!. There is no hair dryer in the room you should ask for one... A bit difficult to get to the hotel's parking, because of the pedestrian and one-way streets that are nearby. The breakfast is meager. And do not forget this a two star hotel. Do not expect to find a refrigerator. Room got a bit cold last night there, raining. Would have been nice to have a spare blanket in room. Leaving. Smell of cigarets come from carpet in the room. A weird "common" balcony, where you can access to other rooms in case that balcony doors are open...not a problem as long as only honest people are staying there... I would recommend administration to have a video camera or at least an intercom at the parking to open a barrier to a parking without calling the reception from mobile phone (it could be pricy for guests). The pillows could be softer.
