One of the most amazing breakfast buffets I have ever tasted (and I have some experience of these things). Otherwise very nice business/conference hotel, located between the train station and the old town, close to the long-distance bus station. We have been in the dogshow. Good parking place , good service to dogs! Wonderful room , very near the big shoppingcenter. Near the Saulkrasti area. My favorite hotel! Cheap, good, everything works.

Internet in the rooms is paid (1.5e/day) although one might get lucky and have wifi covered from the common areas. Zebra inet is relatively slow and flops for more than a single device (mac); setting a laptop as a wireless router is no fun. The biggest downside is the paid spa ~40e/hour, the fee covers the entire premises which is good for groups but totally unreasonable for single persons. Nothing significant. Shortages of hot water in the room. Strange that in a new facility like this you are not supposed to flush down your used toilet paper, quite a disgusting relic of old times not really up to EU standards! But pretty common in the Baltics. Breakfast too poor according hotel's class. Breakfast could be better. Staff was very rude and careless , they didn't want to answer to any questions or help with my enquiries . Sad , because hotel was nice . For 4 stars hotel i would expect very good and caring staff . 4 star hotel and internet extra? small selection for breakfest long corridors my room was at the other end of hotel why when hotel was empty it is more suitable for conferences then for quick business 1 day stay. Airconditioner of our room didn't work at all! That's why we didn't sleep so well. Breakfast was quite poor. Bar is opened only till 23:00. The view from hotel is to a beck yeard not interesting. no air-con stuffy rooms, you are not getting what you are paying for. Dirty rooms, under bed tables.
