The room itself was excellent - thoughtfully arranged for a family, spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable. All hotel staff were thoughtful, helpful and friendly throughout, and spoke both Japanese and English as necessary. Underground parking Morning breakfast The adjacent riverside jogging and biking complex The #2 Head Chef, Mr. H. Sato aided the mood of the morning breakfast. Mr. Araki also provided a plesant assistance with perfect English.

Boiled weiners and lukewarm chicken are not our preferred breakfast fare. In a place as well known as Hokkaido is for its pork, I thought this a curious, and disappointing, omission. Also, no LAN cable was provided in the room for internet access, just a port. Cables are easy to forget - and I did!. Most of the staff avoided contact with people other than Asians, which cooled off the mood. Entering the dinning room for breakfast, only Asians were greeted by the staff. However the managers and other senior staff members were exceptional courteous and friendly. Our deluxe room didn't have free coffee & tea One of our mattresses was a little spoilt, the spring was slightly popped up. Gym access at 3000 yens a pop. This must be stated before booking. 20 min walk to downtown (susukino station). The fitness center is a little out of date; I would expect more for my money:s worth in terms of amenities. Overall they were well prepared to receive guests. Charge 2100 yen per person PER TIME to use swimming pool. Bad enough to charge... but to charge each time you visit is crazy. If they must charge then should be for 24 hour period. location slightly away from train station, but bus stop in front and only 10mins walk to city centre. design little out-date, can do upgrade but still comfortable. no free shuttle to subway or JR. Not close to the subway but we can take a bus instead.
