The staff were fantastic. We were spending the first few days of our honeymoon at the Roykan and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, booking us restaurants, lift passes etc. their grasp of English was limited but enough to get everything sorted and it was on the far reaches of the resort but still only a 5 min ( all be it uphill) walk to the lifts. It also had its own onsen. In all I cannot recommend this lovely, traditional Ryokan enough.
