This hotel is very close to JR Nara station which makes it quite useful if you're doing a lot of travel out of Nara, and it's not too far a walk to the other train station in Nara. It's also very budget friendly and the staff are nice. A good tip is to bring your own lan cable if you bring your laptop since wifi only works in the lobby. An easy 4 minutes walk from the train station. Also easy access to all popular tourist sites. Staff had limited English but were all friendly and obliging. Lots of local eateries in the area. Rooms a reasonable size, aircon worked fine. Wired internet worked fine in room, WiFi in lobby.
all reviews » It`s maybe five minutes away from the station and you can ask them to take you r luggage if you still have time to do some sightseeing or else. Everything was really clean and nice. The air conditioning also was not really controllable. It was either off or cold. No in between. If you're just in Nara to see Nara park and the temples, you may want to find something closer to Kintetsu Nara station instead. Room décor was dated and carpets, bedspreads etc. were badly overdue for a good clean!. There was a strange smell in the bathroom, but not too strong. No wi fi. Narrow room. Even if we understand that this is more or less the standard in Japan. Nothing. None. Rooms are smaller size compared to western rooms. Rooms a little on the small side. No free parking space. Nothing in particular. no WIFI in rooms. No wifi in the room. No wy-fy. Only one key - combined with light - is for two people not good. Small rooms, very hard beds (Japanese custom) No wifi in bedrooms. The room size was the smallest in area that I have ever experienced & it would be no exaggeration to estimate the room area at 12 square meters!. Level of comfort : 0. Might as well sleep in a oven with a wooden pillow. Given that the hotel wasn't THAT cheap, it was quite disappointing.
