It's a very nice experience to stay in this very traditional
Japanese (or Kyoto) style house. The atmosphere of homes of people
decades ago can be seen at each corner of the guest house, such as the
tatami living room with alcove, small wooden veranda have access to the
garden, tiled basin, and so on... Owners are very nice people and always
ready to help us. Teabags are served free of charge, and variety of soft
and alcoholic drinks are served for very reasonable price. It is located
in quiet . all reviews »
We liked the authenticity of the guesthouse, made a change from staying in am modern hotel. It made our stay in Kyoto more genuine.

Kingyoya is a very nice guesthouse with very friendly and helpful staff.
This guest house is so popular that it is a bit difficult to book a room
on the days we want.
For us, we are not use to shower facilities being in an out house in the garden, but this is due to our living on a regular basis, not something that the guest house can change.
Location...Difficult to find...The supermarket and restaurant close earlier than the CBD.Please catch your dinner before 7!.
The location is a little far from the train station (~20minute walk from
the nearest Kuramaguchi Eki).
