That is really nice and so cozy hostel in japaneese style, everything is here you need to stay for a couple days.
I liked that it was near the subway; it was clean; staff didn`t speak English, but this was ok.
Good location (Gion (Geisha District)), friendly staff, decent/fast wireless internet.

We just spent nights in the hotel, and all the time traveling round Kyoto, so no bad things from our side.
it is centrally located, but to find it is extremely difficult; no need to take bus to location. would recommend taking taxi from train station, and after that you can find own your own.
Clothes dryer was broken while I was there (heat wasn't working).
Bathrooms were two floors below the rooms and sometimes did not appear to be clean. Check in can be done only in the late afternoon.
Staff was distant and awkward. One outright glared at me while I was heating up water early in the morning. Cold water only in the sinks. Very squeaky bed. Very hard to find initially as it's located on a side street-- a kind soul helped walk me to the hostel.
