The staff was very nice and kind, but I'm not the kind of costumer that makes requests. The reception were very sofisticated with a very nice design. The room had a great space and the design was lovely too. The kitchenette was really helpful! It has everything you need if you want to prepare your food in your room. They even leave in the room a bottle (not a sachet, a bottle) of body lotion, which I didn't see even in other hotels that were five stars. They gave us two kind of pillows, one har.
all reviews » Stayed 11 nights in this wonderful city and had read about Citadines Karasuma,indeed,it´s as most people say. Very comfortable and super clean hotel. In one of the most busy avenues of Kyoto but when inside what you really hear is just a slight traffic rumour. The room maids where very good, altough I usually left the towels and kimono hanging they nonetheless changed everyday. The fully equiped kitchenette is a plus for a snack or light meal if you´re to tired to go out. Just outside you have . With a small kitchen, very convenient for family with toddler. Zen atmosphere, keep your mind peace and relax when you walk inside the lobby. 1 min walk to the nearest train station, 10 mins walk to the city centre. Especially be reminded vehicle height higher than 1.50m is not allowed to park in their indoor parking. Better check before you rent a car. We had a 6.3 level earthquake during our stay, but you can feel nothing in this hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with the hotel. Will stay w. Everything you could need during your stay in Kyoto was provided. They cleaned the room everyday and so thoroughly. It's so close to Kyoto station, but not so close that you'd have to put up with a lot of noise from the traffic. The location is convenient, the staff are wonderful without encroaching too much on privacy. We especially loved the mini kitchen, since we could cook and heat food up. I love Citadines and hope to stay here again. My room was a great value...spacious, lovely, clean. I had a little kitchen, a bath tub, a cozy comforter on my bed...actually two beds, so I had a fried join me for a few nights and that was fine with Citadines. Breakfasts here are not good, but who cares. There are washing machines & dryers. There's a fabulous soba restaurant practically next door that I couldn't stay away from. Citadines is right at the Gojo subway station, walking dist. I travelled with my friend. The room wasn't big by any means but it had everything that we needed. Having a kitchenette if you wanted to save a few $ if you want to. Great location, easy walking distance to the train station, Buddist temple, palace, and not too far from Gion. The room was clean and staff friendly. It was perfect for what we needed and we bee lined straight to the downstairs coin operated washing machine and dryers. There's a 7 eleven store across the road with ATM inside. Awesome location, just steps away from the subway station and various bus stops. This hotel provided everything that we needed whilst on holiday in a city where we could not speak the language. The laundry in the basement was excellent and enabled us to wash some clothes at Avery cheap rate and the provision of a good breakfast at a very reasonable price was also very much appreciated. Location is great -2 mins from Gojo Subway and in Central Kyoto. Stayed 11 nights so having extra space of sitting and kitchen areas very important. Staff excellent and very friendly. Price reasonable. I would always want to stay here when visiting Kyoto. The visit was in 'Golden Week' so Kyoto was very busy and Citadines was a haven of peace and tranquility. The hotel location is very close to subway and bus station. There is a kitchen inside the room and you can buy food to cook from the convenient store and 24hr supermarket next to hotel. When you arrive at Gojo subway station you have to go up 3 flight of stairs, well, not the hotel fault but... Entering the hall from the street, at daytime, you'll find it simply "dark": something less "zenish" and more functional would be appreciated. nothing. A bit far from Kyoto station (for walking) one or two buses pass the hotel (with longer wait) since bus ride is preferred for most Kyoto attractions. No hair conditioner was offered. The shampoo made my hair soooo rough. Had to find a local drug store to buy a travel size bottle. none. Nothing. The breakfast is terrible. Enjoy the amenities of your room, and don't spend your money with it. A public bath would have been a nice extra though... the location was good, but slightly neither here nor there on a busy road. Nothing at all!. The location, right in centre of many things, but too near if by bus and too far by foot. However it's just me being picky. A little bit away from the station and the main shopping area but once you master the subway and buses it is easy. The wifi sometimes was weak and slow. There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
