  I will remember this place as the one of the best I stayed in Japan. Staff was awesome and very helpful, room was big and we had a great view on the Hakone mountains. There is also onsen that is open 24/7. Hotel is placed bit a side of the main routes which some people may find troublesome, however it is only about 5 minutes to the bus stop that ... what people say » will take you to the every attraction in the area. In other words - one of the best place to stay in Hakone area. - Very friendly owners. Good and clean. Good location and Solo Pizza (about 1km away) is excellent.

The location is practical, at walkable distance (200mt) from the 2nd stop of Gora-Sounzan cablecar... it has got an Onsen (hotspring bath) at ground floor, open till 2am, and from 5am, with outdoor tub! Shuttle service is very convenient but you need to book both pick up and departure from hotel. Hotel staffs are very nice but they speak english very little.   Gora is a beautiful place to stay while in Hakone and the Merveille is a nice hotel. The staff are warm, friendly and speaks English or tries their very best to assist you. The indoor onsen is great and has all you need to enjoy and relax in the hot pool. The breakfast was sumptuous and the amenities in the room was amazing.
