Blu is situated about 1km from the port of Vulcano. The staff speak English and they were only to happy to send the shuttle bus to collect us and our luggage. The Hotel is actually a large collection of spacious, full equipped apartments, ie cooker, utensils etc. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the apartment. The pool area was a very short walk from our apartment, with an infinity pool over looking the sea and the smoking Sulphar volcano in the back ground. Here you will find seati.
all reviews » The pool area was great with a stunning view over the bay. The snack bar served excellent salads and paninis for lunch. The accommodation was spartan but clean and comfortable and well-designed so that you stay cool even at the hottest part of the day. The staff were very helpful and considerate and the shuttle bus down to the town is a great benefit. Ring or e-mail ahead and they will pick you up from the ferry when you arrive. I got a lot of room for the price I paid; more like a bachelor suite. I was comfortable and the room was clean. My stay was well before tourist season began, and the resort was not yet in full operation. I purposely stayed at Vulcano Blu prior to a kayak trip that would begin on the same property. Others might find it a bit remote at the same time of year. I liked the staff. They seemed to care, and they were very pleasant. The best residence in Vulcano, with privat beach outside the public beaches!!! + privat swimming pool, family ownered..Near terme vulcano, clean, perfekt servis..., Residence ist village with separatly bungalows, romantic atmosphere.., we will be comming again. Grazie per tuto, we stay 3 weeks there and we enjoy the relax time. The staff was very helpful, the swimming pool was fantastic and the view - awesome and incredible! The apartament was in a very quiet and beautiful area. The Vulcano Island is amazing - so many things to do and see!. I really liked the set up, the self-catering accommodation, the studio was quite spacious and comfortable, with beautiful view from the terrace. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. My impression is that it is a resort in need of attention, but it would be more fair to rate it when it was operating at a busier time of year. It takes about 20 min to walk to the town, but that wasn't a major problem. no complaint at all. A bit out of center, but hotel staff could drop off or pick up you from any location in Vulcano free of charge. No screens on the doors/windows and no A/C in the room so it was just too hot to sleep beginning of September. Mattresses a bit worn out. Distance from town to walk. no hair dryer no wifi in room. no wi fi in the room. Single uncomfortable beds put together as double.Staff very friendly but cant really speak english. We had no roaming coverege in the room and wifi is only avail in the reception. Some of the app's were scruffy, right next to ours were a couple of roofless ones. deserted out of season,needed to phone every time I needed to speak to staff,hot water didn't last very long in shower. Long walk to harbour ,large areas of walk unlit,poor signposting from harbour to hotel. general condition of the site very poor,difficult to reach if you have arranged no pick up.
