When we stayed here it was the fourth leg of our honeymoon trip across Italy. On arrival we were taken aback at how beautiful the hotel was and its amazing central location. When we checked in we were pleasantly surprised, ad very happy, to be upgraded to a spectacular room. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. all reviews » The location of this hotel was perfect, half way between the two main squares in Verona and just over a five minute walk to the Arena. The room was lovely and quiet. The bathroom was really large and well equipped. The room was really quiet. We didn't hear anything during our stay. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and scrambled eggs, which was a nice extra. Cold drinks and prosecco were free during the day until 5pm in the lounge are? The staff were really helpful and all spoke great En. This is a splendid hotel in perfect central location in Verona. It is right by the main pedestrian shopping street and midway between the two main piazzas where all the life, bars and eateries are located. We stayed just one night en route to Lake Garda and it was a perfect start to a great holiday. I understand that the hotel restaurant is good but, as we always like to do, we went to a local, fun restaurant for dinner. One nice feature of the hotel is that they have a lovely cool lounge w. The hotel is in a great location - close to everything but also quiet (where our room was located). Wonderful breakfasts - a huge choice of food and good quality. Staff - friendly, helpful and attentive - recommended restaurants closeby which were great. It was definitely a taxi ride from and to the train station but you were in the middle of all shopping. Verona is quite small so you can walk everywhere. The hotel's location could not be better - 5 min walk to the Arena, Piazza dei Signori, "Giulietta house" and 2 steps from pedestrian shopping streets. The hotel staff is wonderful - very friendly and helpful - when we had forgotten one of our bags in the room upon departure, they kindly sent it to us by express mail. When I plan my visit of the city the Hotel Academia is a first choice. Having stayed in your Hotel during the ASH cloud situation I continued to find it a very comfortable and friendly. Sadly there was no view from our hotel window, just a brick wall but we didn't expect a view in a city centre hotel anyway. Just for your info really. Nothing. All was great. No complaints at all about the hotel or its staff. Nothing I can think of. We booked a room for 3 people and expected 3 beds rather than 2 beds and a sofa bed.
