This bed and breakfast is very close to the San Basilio port where our ferry docked. It's a good thing the staff on the ferry explained to me that there is no rhyme or reason to the numbering of buildings in Venice, only that it will be in a certain area. Luckily, Casa di Sara was exactly where Google Maps said it would be - also, I had picked up a map at the airport when we first arrived, which was helpful.
We had booked a room with private bathroom and we ended up having the room with the bat. all reviews »
The staff is very friendly, we loved fresh bread for breakfast)) The
B&B is located in a quite area close to St.Barnaba square, though
it's not easy to find it since the numbering in Venice is beyond
logics)) and the address consists of the name of area and building
number. My advice would be to get a detailed explanation before checking
in and having a detailed map. There many places to eat around working
until late nite.
very friendly staff and personnel. we were the only guests in the hotel in december. We had the keys, and used the klitchen and the house as ours. The breakfast was good and despite we were the only gesuts every day the roo was cleaned and breakfast served.
Excellent location [ walking distance] for all the important
Venice sights and waterbus stops and with its own nice location for restaurants/cafes/bars. Quiet as well...no noise at all.
We stayed at the place for 2 nights during the Easter break of 2013.
The place is easily accessible.
Staff is very friendly.
Rooms are neat.
Good breakfast.
Value for money.
The reception we got was very nice. We were given directions so we could
easily find the B&B. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location,
close to vaporetto stop.
Location is great: close to major tourist sights, but on a quiet small canal, with great restaurants ( not tourist traps ) close by ( Calle Lunga San Barnaba ).
The double room looks great, it's a bit inconvenient though that bathroom is outside and you have to always bring the keys to lock from inside.
Fantastic location for exploring all Venice has to offer.
Owner took the time to meet us off the Alilaguna to show us the way.
Very clean, staff very responsive. Breakfast was simple but nice. Location is good. Owner was very nice and friendly.
Flexibility in leaving luggage in room after check-out.
Space of room and bathroom.
Free Wifi
Location.
Good location, polite and useful staff, price is quite attractive for Veneza, clean room.
Close to the ferry terminal from Croatia, yet off the beaten track and quiet.
Good value bed and breakfast in a quiet neighborhood in a busy city.
A quiet location. Close too vaporatti stop and restaurants.
the location, the room, how the residence is organized.
Good location near ferry terminal which is what we needed, and surprisingly didn't take that long to walk back into heart of it. Free wifi that worked. Good restaurant directly across from B&B.
Nice location, good and friendly staff.
Breakfast is nice; has air condition.
Having just come from staying in Croatia, I found it expensive, but I guess everywhere is expensive in Venice.
There is no tv in the room or in the kitchen. so we have used your i-pad as television.
Nothing disliked.
We arrived very late at night and it was a bit hard to find the place. Once you get a good map, it is ok.
No major issues.
It would be nice to have more place to hang wet towels. The small shampoo "bags" was very difficult to open.
Small and not comfortable bathroom, no support for towels, no TV, breakfast is poor.
Easy to miss the external gate - we nearly walked past it. A larger sign would be helpful. Also, despite giving our arrival time by email, there was no-one their to let us in and we had to wait 15 minutes. The room was small with a miniscule en-suite.
A bit difficult to find. The b & b is on Fondamenta delle Romite not
Erimite as stated in letsbookhotel.com.
Breakfast was too basic. If you are the kind of person who needs protein in the morning there isn't any.
the breakfast.
We had a private bathroom but I would have liked an ensuite. Lady who met us wasn't as friendly as other reviewers experienced. She had two arguments on the phone while we waited. Maybe we just turned up on a bad day.
You should inform in advance when you will arrive and keep in touch with staff members, because there is no reception, so you can't get in at any time you want.
The position, too difficult to find it.
Hard to find.
Lack of good communication with staff.
Lady who checked us in was extremely rude because we were late. We were late because we got lost. Coming back late at night there were no lights through the garden to the front door. Extremely unpleasant. One of the most unwelcoming places I have ever stayed at. Avoid at all costs.
