This was a beautiful hotel close to the centre of Sorrento. It is large with lovely marble floors and well maintained decoration and furniture. Our room had a terrace and a sea view and was comfortable and spacious. November is a very quiet month here, so we didn't actually eat or drink in the hotel (other than breakfast which was excellent) as we would have been rattling around in big open spaces. Staff were helpful, and there is garage parking under the hotel. Location is great, near many res.
all reviews » Very elegant hotel - beautiful interior design, gorgeous gardens, stately architecture, large room and very nice bathroom (bidet was a special touch) with lovely Italian ceramic tile. Very nice breakfast buffet included in the price, in an elegant dining room. Staff was very professional, polite & friendly throughout the hotel. Location was very convenient to shopping & many restaurants, as well as close to the harbor. Free parking in hotel garage. Very clean, well maintained and n. This hotel was very beautifully decorated and located near everything. It had a rooftop pool with wonderful views of the water and a bar nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was the best that I have ever had in a hotel of this quality. It even included items without sugar for those who needed to eat sugarless food. It was very relaxing to be there. Nothing - great all around. Very poor wifi connection. Nothing. The fact we could not stay longer. Room too hot overnight - unable to adjust temperature. We had a problem with a minibar drink. A beer bottle was filled with water and then recapped. Because all the floors are tiled noise travels form the rooms above . Next time I will stay on the top floor . Pepito the sax player. breakfast was good but expected little more choice on hot buffet items... Wanted to sit upstairs seating area near pool after shopping told we couldn't because we had bottles of drink in our bags. Only wanted a few minutes catch up with other patron before going to room manager brought over we didn't go near pool again. all was good. Not being allocated a room on the first night and being moved to different hotel. nothing. Breakfast: orange juice should be fresh-squeezed, not canned; bacon was grossly undercooked and not hot enough. Pillows should be down/feather, not foam. Bed too hard. It was too noisy - we had to change rooms once to get away from the bar, and then on the last night there was a party going on until after midnight which kept us awake even in our new room. Most disappointing and not what one would expect from a 4 star hotel.
