Perfect location, only 2 minutes walk away from the Cavour Metro station plus one of the best gelato shops in Rome (Fatamorgana) is right outside the hotel. A number of nice cafes around, with a pizza restaurant next door that can deliver food to your hotel room free of charge. Maurizio, the hotel receptionist, was very helpful, friendly and warm. He made us feel very welcome. We particularly appreciate him helping us out with ticket purchases and his recommendation to eat at La Cicala (only 5 .

It is a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum, The Roman Forum, Trojan's Forum and The National Monument to Vittorio Emanuale II which are all must see landmarks in Rome. There are lots of nice cafe's and restaurants and shopping in the area. Great location. Would recommend based on price and location, we would consider this hotel again on a return trip although a l. *Maurizio Locci at the rception was very friendly and helpful. He provided us with the city map for free and advised us with the best places to visit and printed us the train schedules. *Location is more than perfect: few minutes walking from the Colosseum, Via Del Corso and Cavour metro station, nice restaurants, cafes and wonderful home made gelaterias are just a few steps from the hotel. *The room was clean and tidy at check-in. the location, walking distance to Metro and Colosseum. There were small cafes in the vicinity - so the area is not that quiet. A gelato shop, right in front of the hotel. wifi signal was strong. room size was perfect. there was one english channel, thankfully there was MTV to watch also. reasonable price. there was a pantry with vending machines, a small cup of espresso was Euro 0.60. Bed was a fold down wall bed, so we either had the bed, or a couch. We weren't there much, so stuck with the bed. The Redidenz Leonina is in a lovely part of Rome. I didn't have a room, but an aparent. I had a sittingroom, small kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom. Although my experiences in european cities tell me it is likely that most hotels in the cities have small rooms, especially in this price range. *Water was sometimes leaking in the bathroom floor. wifi was only available at the common areas - not available inside the room, had to sit in the living area to access internet. Cleaning for apartment only done on 3rd day, had to request for the rubbish to be cleared (I would prefer if they clear the rubbish on daily basis - wouldn't mind if they don't make the bed for 3 nights). Even though we stayed 3 nights, and had free "use" of the kitchenette, the cooktop was locked shut, and there was nothing to actually utilise the kitchenette (cutlery, plates, glasses/cups, pots, tea towel, kettle etc). We didnt need this, but if you were relying on it, you might get a shock. Free wifi was a little slow to the point sometimes it just wouldn't work. But it is free so that's a bonus. So many cupboards available that you could easily fit in an ironing board and iron which would be handy. The only naggy thing is the small shower......but everything made this into a positive!!!. None. I stayed for one day and this place delivered what it promised. Except for bedding and towels almost nothing was provided in the apartment, give or take the odd bar of soap or toilet roll ie no washing up liquid, t-towel, etc. It was noisy outside at night, didn't bother us but might do some others. Didn't like the wifi that was promised but almost never worked in the room or on the terrace. It only worked reliably in the lobby. Also, we had to trek up and down cobbled streets with our large suitcases from the termini train station. But showercabin was difficult to fit in to and even worse to come out of, and I am not a big person ! Friday and Saturday it was most of the night a terrible noise from the street and the pizzarestaurang next doors. Only wish it had a kettle and toaster otherwise found it perfect. The room was very basic, and there was funny smell in reception in the evenings. Too seriouse atmosfere in the room. Some painting or flowers or carpet can be added. It is my very, very personal opinion, but the coushions are really uncomfortable. The rest is okay. Difficulty finding it, reception closed at 6pm. Nothing. WIFI was not worked properly during all the stay; poor crockery in kitchen. Dish cleaning products not provided while maid service is not daily. Had to buy own products and leave it there. cleaning once every 3 days no mini-bar. No breakfast, room cleaned only every 3 day. Toilet flush never stopped loading water: some noise. The facilities were a bit dated (one of us almost locked herself in the bathroom because the lock was really rusty), and the room smelled a bit funny. The toilet seat was broken and water leaked and flooded the bathroom while taking a shower. It wasn't actually bad, just small things added up. it was 4 of us in the room, and we got room 304 which is very small, the kitchen is just a litle cube we couldnt cook. The space in this appt. is too tight, if you are 4ppl, request the room #12, if you are 4 ppl and more, look fr another appt. very very basic room and ,bathroom very noise from other rooms and hotel guests coming in late at night was really bad.The worst was outside noise,we got woken up every night two or three times, worst was six times in one night with people shouting. trucks ,cars and roller shutter doors from opposite building and i'm not a light sleeper. Because of the nosie i would never stay at the hotel again shame because staff and location are great. We were two couples, bedroom was fine however air conditioning in the lounge was not working, and sofa bed was terrible, the springs on couch were so worn down we could not sleep on the bed. We had to take the flimsy mattress off and put it on the floor to sleep - original sofa bed of the lounge was gone. Our apartment (in basement) Noise at night from bar next door. Smell in the rooms, dirty ceilings, the prices of residence were equal to 4 star hotel, but it hardly would match 2-3 star hotel. It was really a big disappointment, unfortunately I bought a non-refundable rate. Unclean,too small, appliances did not work, roomed showed a lot of wear and tear. Bathroom was horrible. DIY shower screen in bathtub difficult to manage and falling apart. bathtub was leaking so bathroom floor was always slightly wet. Mold everywhere. No surface space to stand toiletries. No toiletries or soap or anything provided (even though other reviewers mentioned cotton buds??). Very noisy...2 Windows didn't open...WiFi almost non- existent...furnishings, particularly in the 'living room' bare (couch not clean) & uncomfortable..kitchen didn't even have a kettle & dishes mis-matched... The accommodation was far from 'elegant' as listed on your website...at 136 euros per night it was not good value. The apartment was not like the photos, very basic and dirty. There was a sofa bed with the mattress missing, so the cushions were sitting on the springs, we could not sit on it. The shower was very small, the kitchen didn't have a microwave, very few utensils and was dirty. The carpet was very dirty throughout and was only cleaned every 3 days. Very noisy at night because of people gathering in the plaza in front of the apartments. Room is tiny and the cleaning lady comes only once in 3 days. Overall very untidy. Small window facing the wall was depressing as well. Bathroom flooding and no intention to repair.
