Great location , rooms small but typical of many hotels as well as very well as nicely kept. Nice design classy, but conversations in foyer/courtyard , very audible through open window due to amplification of sound from the four walls surrounding the yard. The sound travels up the walls and is heard by the rooms with windows facing any of the four walls. Amazing and super friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast, a lot of character , and even though many rooms have a small number of steps .
all reviews » I booked The Relais Julia for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. The hotel went to great lengths to make my parents stay a special one. I was so delighted when I heard of the welcome they received. Thank you so much to the staff ! The hotel is in a great location close to The Vatican and to the Historico Centro and the beautiful Piazza Navona .The room was lovely and most importantly the bed was comfortable. I spent such a long time researching a hotel for their trip that was in budget,good l. This hotel in an ideal location in the city is small but perfectly formed. Because it is small the staff and residents are very friendly. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and had a lovely atmosphere to it. Breakfast consisted of croissants, breads, muffins and a delicious freshly baked cake each morning. There was also a selection of fresh fruit and cold meats and cheeses. For hot food there was bacon and scrambled eggs. The staff were extremely helpful and charming. The whole expe. Giulia street is an ancient and quiet street in Rome. It's beautiful as its own, and has the Mask Fontain and various antient buildings along the street. The location is fantastic if you are visiting vatican city and the San angelos. Also 5 min walking to the Navona, Flower Market, Fontana di Trevi, etc. The Relais Guilia is very well maintained and the interior is very unique and all of my family love it. Clean, comfort, quiet and spacious. Even we had a room facing the street but it is not n. The Relais Giulia is a beautifully remodelled villa on a fashionable early 1th-century alley in central Rome, just a short walk from the Vatican, Campo di Fieri, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and the Trevi fountain. There are many wonderful trattoria and winebars in the neighborhood as well as artisans' shops. You can't beat the location. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable and the staff are very gracious. Staying in the Relais Giulia has probably been the most pleasant of all my hotel experi. All the staff where very helpful and friendly, we requested a quiet room on a high floor away from the elevators and that's exactly what we got Thankyou the lady on reception sorry we forgot your name. Hotel was in a nice quiet location but right in the best area for food, drink and shops. Breakfast was good choice of hot and cold Buffet, Great value all round hotel would go back there for sure, soon we hope. Everything! Staff were amazing, beds - most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Most importantly it didn't feel like ur typical hotel. It was better than that, when I go bk to Rome it's where I will be staying, saw quite a Nr of other hotels while in Rome and nothing was as unique, eloquent and beautiful as Relais Giulia. Continental breakfast was the best we've ever seen!! Location was fabulous for everything, especially St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican, Pantheon, shopping. Would stay again in a heartbeat! But cant complain as its a 15th Century refurnished house. For the price I would expect a little more, though. Maybe richer decor in the rooms, more space, balcony/terrace access, bathrobes or some other extras. Only thing I didn't care for was the draining system in the bathroom of our suite. Shower had to be turned off every other minute because of flooding. Same with sink. Everything else was perfect. not a problem, but do not plan to come with car. Nothing really, would stay here again. The only thing is there was anything at all was there was no milk in the room for tea or coffee, but they were happy to bring this to you if you asked. Nothing bad to say about the hotel at all. The pressure in the shower was a little weak. Narrow stairway to access room! Will request different room when we go back. No person to help with luggage upon leaving. Driver that was arranged for pick up from hotel to airport was rude and did not help with luggage leaving hotel or at airport. He also talked on his phone and texted while driving. room nice but very small (double usage single). absolutely nothing. Nothing. Standard room was small, go for a superior room. The staff do not know what clean means, hair from previous guests on bed cover, dust, spider webs, stained paper table covers in breakfast room and non-functioning lights. Felt more like a bed and breakfast. Apart from I member of staff, other two were OK. I was given a room on street level right by entrance to hotel. It was fairly noisy. They expressed surprise when I asked if another room was available . Was given room on the street. Door opened onto lobby and bathroom onto smoking area. Room was very plain. Minibar list provided but no minibar. Tv had lots of channels but none in French or English.
