The Madison Hotel is a good hotel, we got a shuttle bus from the airport to Termini station 11 Euro return, the hotel is 100 yards just across the road straight ahead of you. The staff could not do enough for you and are great tour guides. The breakfast is great, no bacon and eggs but you get all the rest you would get in any hotel, rooms are clean and spacious and beds are good to sleep in.

In addition busses run regularly to Ciampino Airport rom outside the hotel. Extremely good rates can be achieved during the low season. The shower was like a car wash--fun--and the bathroom marble.Very cozy and clean rooms and overall hotel, very close to Termini Station(which was my reason for choosing the particular hotel). The aircon did not work.Most of shower water spilled on floor due to lack of curtain. Breakfast was poor. Not a problem as there was an excellent inexpensive coffee shop in Termini. Our room flodded one night. We were moved to a much smaller room and then to another good room next day. Not nice but the hotel did not charge us for that night.The room was a little airless and there were no windows with a view. The elavators were to small for the size of hotel. Tv channels provided are all in italian; no cnn. No sound insulation, small room, poor breakfast.It will be preferable for the woollen blankets to be changed to soft padded covers. The hotel rooms are dark as they have window blindes which cannot be opened from inside. However the main street beside railway station outside is noisy anyway, so better to stay in dark room. However the later does not really matter if one is on sightseeing in the city, as only in hotel in evening and morning anyway.The room we got had a view of the steam pipes! But since we weren't in Rome to enjoy the room views, we were ok with it. The ensuite bathroom and amenities was clean and promptly tidied!.
