Lovely atmosphere with Art Deco surroundings. Very good breakfasts. Rooms are quite small but very cosy and comfortable. Also very good location, quite central and handy for getting to most sites of interest. lovely atmosphere in an excellent location and very pleasant and helpful staff. Great location, in Rome, its all about the location. convenience. I have stayed here many times before and it's a wonderful hotel with old world charm. It's also centrally located and easy to access.

Period furnishings and decor are fantastic, make the hotel feel special, the opposite of anonymous chains. Real log fire in the bar. Extensive breakfast buffet . Second, we had to exit the hotel and were placed in a seperate hotel from the main entrance. Very disappointing- what a rip of. No, we have stayed at this hotel before and hope to do so again. We requested a restaurant recommendation from the hotel front desk, only to be directed to one of Rome's not so pleasant areas.No iron, and poor ironing service. View of brick wall from window. 10 minute wait for coffee after ordering at breakfast on 1st morning.Rooms are quite small (as expected). the hot water shower did not work properly, breakfast can be more elaborate. bathtub drain overflowed from drain hole in floor; airconditioning did not work very well. Service was sometimes poor and bedrooms small; one room looked out onto a wall!. Minibar didnt work and was not repaired even when we asked for that. The canalisation of the toilet has some problem so there was a terrible smelt...the staff are impolite and unhelpful in organising events such as bookings, the rooms are small, the bathroom heating was broken. We didn't like the fact that our room was located in a building accrossthe street from the main part of the hotel, so that we did not have easyaccess to hotel staff, the breakfast facilities, internet facilitiesetc. This was not specified on the website.We had a family event and I had a single room. It was tiny. The bed washard and narrow and the ac did not work properly. The b/room door did notclose properly so I needed to check after cleaning each morning that ithad been closed fully. The shower was tiny and I strained a muscle in myneck negotiating its narrow confines. I paid €5 an hour for internet usewhen hotel literature says usage is free.
