The choice to book the Town House for our stay in Rome was the best we could do. Antonella was a great hostess and gave us a lot of insider-information you would not find in a guide. The district where the Town House lays, is a silent part of Rome with nice restaurants round the corner. In a few minutes you are in the center of Rome by public transport or even walking. The room was absolutely tidy, you would not find the tiniest dust particle somewhere, the bed very comfortable, the atmosphere .

The room we had was clean, comfortable and has a private bathroom just across the hall. Al 138 Townhouse is a short walk from Trastevere a suburb of Rome that boasts many restaurants and bars to try. Thank you Antonella from Claire & Carl xx. The situation of the townhouse in Trastevere: public transport is in easy reach, and walking is a joy in such a safe neighbourhood. Above all is the warmth and personality of Antonella, who has a great pride in Rome and wants her guests to share in it. Her advice was invaluable, be it about trips, restaurants or getting about. Thank you, especially for the wine which helped us to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Antonella, the owner, was really very kind, she makes you feel at home and welcome in Rome. The location is good, there are several bars and restaurants arround. To go to the main sighseeing places a bus stop is directly in front of the house.The breakfast is nice, but typical Italian (crossaintes + coffee), which is ok for some days, but if you plan a longer stay it could be monotone. Everything was perfect! The room was nicely decorated and spotless. The external bathroom (every room has its own) was very convenient and clean. The lady of the house, Antonella, is wonderful. She is extremely kind, explains a lot about Rome, and gives you good advice. Moreover, she brings a perfect breakfast to your room every morning (you can choose the time). Again, it's perfect!. Staff was extremely friendly. When we arrived, the owner helped us to plan our stay in Rome and had lots of usefull tourist tips for us. Breakfest served in our room every morning. Possible to walk to all tourist attractions in Rome, and esay to catch public transport from here as well. Great value for money. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the location is in a nice area next to transport over the river if you dont want to walk. Antonella was an amazing hostess! I felt really safe even though we were in the heart of the city. The b&b is near several stops for transportation (tram, bus, train). The seperate shower room perhaps, which was for our use only. But this feature did not cause us any real inconvenience however. Was a bit inconvenient having the bathroom across the hall but that was only a tiny thing and I soon got used to it. The breakfast could use a bit of variety. Rome requires a lot of walking and it was super hot when we were there. It would have been nice to have some fruit or other pastry options. There was nothing I did not like. It would be handy if there was a bag deposit service as leaving luggage at Termini can be an ordeal!. It is a bit loud due to the street and thin walls to the neighbours, toilett is across the hall, but it is a private one. Street noises in front room - standard for Rome not a problem for me but might be for some. This is a guest house not a hotel - need to be aware of that. If you like guesthouse (I do) this is a very good one.
