We phoned the hotel from Rome to inform them concerning a series of unexpected delays after our departure from Toronto. We arrived at the hotel after a 36 hour trip, tired and hungry. The staff(family) immediately took care of our luggage, including a large, heavy bike box, showed us where we could wash our hands, and directed us to the much needed breakfast. No doubt there would be some people who would find something to complain about but my wife and I would say that if you want a professionally run but at the same time informal, friendly, family-run, smaller hotel then this would be your first choice.The only bad thing is the hotel sits on a very busy street, so it was very noisy at all hours of the day. We weren't made aware of the beach that hotel guests had use of.On checkout, my credit card did not work, neither did 2 others that I have. In the end I had to go to a bank to withdraw cash.
