Location is perfect for visiting Milan. Within easy walking distance of the Duomo and an excellent location to pick up day trips from Milan to Como, etc. Restaurants abound within a couple of blocks as well as endless shopping opportunities. Not the Westin but not the price either, an excellent value considering the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was very good and fresh. Great location and close to stores, Cardona train station, and places to eat. Across the street from the castle. You can also access the Malpenso Express to and from and only a 10 minute walk to and from.

We have stayed here 4 times now and love this little place! Staff are friendly, rooms have recently be upgraded and the breakfast is tasty. For a city break hotel this is perfect. Also is only a 5 mins walk to cadorna station for the Malpensa Express train. Great rooms, quirky which we like. Right in centre of Milan and very convenient for everything Breakfast was good, iPad In reception free and always fast, rooms clean. Nor great view from inner rooms but did not really matter to us. Good place. The location of this hotel is fantastic -- right near the castle and an actual short stroll through charming streets to the Duomo. A good breakfast spread and updated furnishings. The best bed I've ever slept in for a 3-star hotel!. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by Marco who had a wealth of knowledge and was so helpful as were all the staff during our stay. We have been on a three week motor bike touring holiday of Italy and this was the only hotel to Charge for it. While WiFi is available in the rooms, it costs 9 Euro and is not reliable. The hotel has a free Ipad for use in the lobby which is convenient for a quick search of something before you head out, but for the money, I would expect good wireless service. View from room to inner yard stairs. no view (at least not my room), view was of the internal fire escape-stairway. breakfast is until 10 am and served buffet style. When I came down around 9:30 am the fresh fruit salad was finished. And it stayed finished, no new salad would be put back on the buffet, which is not right. The downstairs bathroom was not very clean. I love scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast and there was none :). - Didn´t have wifi on rooms or lobby, only an ipad of common use in Lobby. - Helpful staff, but a smile would be good =). Nothing. No slippers . -close air bathroom, odor, noise. One of the breakfast stuff was very rude and unfriendly. Some ridiciolus rules they have about breakfast. And a very important thing is that they don't charge you the day you book (talking about non-refundable) even though the confirmation states so, you have to pay at check-out. Thought I've already paid the hotel and did a lot of shopping. Had trouble with paying when the lady told me to pay but survived by myself. A strange hotel, don't want to stay again. The hotel is basically an old refurbished hotel with some modern (cosmetic?) rehabilitation and some still old material such as shutters of lift. It has its charm but may not qualify for business travelers. For some unknown reason it is plagued with mosquitoes (even in November) as show by the numerous "hits" on the walls. No free wifi. They were renovating the hotel so they were making lots of noice from 7 in the morning. You have to go outside to go to the lobby. The breakfast wasn't excellent, not a lot te choose from. The bathroom was very small. Musty smell in the bathroom, expensive for a 3-star hotel. We didn't enjoy the stay that much, the staff were not that welcoming, and one day we had a trip early in the morning, we had to use the emergency stairs because there was a trash/garbage bag in the elevator!!! The smell was horrible and when I told the receptionist I didn't like his reaction. A lot of mosquito. Reception area not welcoming Breakfast not good. Over ripe fruit. On both days we did not eat breakfast - not looking very appetizing. Actually not a 3-star hotel. The window in the room was open upon arrival which allowed the smell of urine in the adjacent utility area to permeate the entire room. It was disgusting. We were there in July and there was no remote for the AC which was installed near the ceiling. Wireless was an additional expense. Very cold in rooms. Asked heater. Rooms are very dark. For young couples worst choice, I guess.
